*missing from Jimi Hendrix Edition

Looking at the list in perspective, I get the sense that IKMM is updating the Vox AC30 and possibly the Dual Rectifier in AmpliTube 2. Both of these appear in enough photos, including definite recent ones (based on *new* gear also pictured) to lead to that conclusion. Based on the drag&drop video sound, I'd say the other existing models are not being updated.

So perhaps it isn't AmpliTube 3 after all. It could just be AmpliTube 2.5. Maybe we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg of what new is being modeled, but if not, I'd say that these are going to be added to AmpliTube (2.5 or 3) since there just doesn't seem to be enough new models to justify a whole new edition to the AmpliTube family.

I'm not sure what to think of the Leslie. A rotary speaker appears in Jimi Hendrix Edition, so I filed it under JHE, but it is the focus of enough photos to suggest the possibility that it is a new model.
Update: I've gone ahead and added the Leslie to NEW GEAR based on Peter's hint.

Also keep in mind that photo 60 is a group shot of what looks to be storage, so it doesn't mean that any of the existing models pictured in it are being freshly remodeled (except for the AC30 which is being hauled out of storage!). Likewise, 57 is a JHE group shot, and 58 is an AT Metal group shot, so these two may not mean much of anything. The Sunn Coliseum only appears in photo 60, and it should have been in JHE, so perhaps it is being added, or perhaps they had tried to model it before and it didn't turn out right. I am less convinced now that JHE and AT Metal are going to be consolidated into AmpliTube 3 than I was before.

Also remember that all the cabs need new impulses for the new mics, so cabs in 22, 23, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 42, 68, 72, 76, 77, 79, 80, 81, and 83 might just be getting updated for them.

Another clue is that the recording room in some of the pictures is part of the studio mentioned as built for SampleTank 3... So that says something about the Leslie at least...

Thanks for the clue, Peter.
I updated the list with Leslie in NEW GEAR to reflect it.
After pondering it, I am now quite certain that the Leslie is a new model, almost certainly based on the same modeling method that IKMM developed for the Fender Vibratone.

The rotary speaker in JHE is just a rack effect, more likely based on similar DSP rotary effects than an actual speaker cabinet captured and modeled in the IK Multimedia lab, so these photos couldn't be for it.

That's in AmpliTube Metal.
I saw several pages back you were excited about the MXR M-117 flanger.
That's also in AT Metal.

I'm not so sure anymore that they're going to be included in the new product, or even that the mystery product is AmpliTube 3 at all.

We might be seeing AmpliTube 2.5 (with updated graphics), JHE, and Metal together in X-GEAR. IK is very reluctant to up whole version numbers without a complete rebuild, so this might not even be X-GEAR 2, let alone AmpliTube 3.

The mystery product that includes the new models may just be something like AmpliTube Red Hot Chili Peppers Edition for all we know.

Interesting theory, but I'm sticking to AT3. :hihi:

As we approach NAMM, we'll be posting more. You don't see it in the videos but in the audio clips there are definitely effects that are not traditionally modeled in something like this, too. Just worth noting is all.

Hmmm, is there a modulation matrix behind the scenes?

There are a few nice additions that, separate or even better together, can do a lot more than we were able to allow before.

Cool! I look forward to playing with "more" (Amore?). And that reverse echo slicing thingy sounds sounds like good fun too.
