I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but the one complaint I've had about the AT stuff is the click sound for the metronome. It's the most irritating sound! Totally distracts if you are trying to use it imho.

I'll see if we can set up a countdown to NAMM on the site and use that sound just for you.hibidy wrote:I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but the one complaint I've had about the AT stuff is the click sound for the metronome. I suppose there is no way of getting something done to where you can change the sound, like GR4?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:I'll see if we can set up a countdown to NAMM on the site and use that sound just for you.hibidy wrote:I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but the one complaint I've had about the AT stuff is the click sound for the metronome. Are we going to get a rhythmic tremolo/gate, like Sonicbytes Gat'R?
That was a nice effect, but it never supported tempo changes and Sugarbytes isn't developing it further. I tried CamelSpace but it is way too complicated and I could never get the same sound out of it.
Maybe we could get a few more hints about new effects that haven't been revealed yet.
AT Metal finally solved AmpliTube's flanger problem, but there is still a shortage of good choruses. The CE-1 is too thick and dark for every day use. The AT2 Digital Chorus stinks and I doubt anyone uses it.
We need a Boss CE-2 model. That one is the gold standard of choruses.
I'd also like a Boss AC-3 model, or at least the AC-2.
Are any of those in there?

The rack chorus in AT Fender sounds amazing. And the CE-1 is definitely no slouch either.redshift factor wrote:

The problem with the the few choruses AmpliTube does offer is none of them are the CE-2. That is *THE* chorus sound we all know and love.
Japanese model, of course.

Agreed that the CE-1 is too thick in many situations.
A good way to combat that is putting it on a send, I regularly do that with the UA version, would work for AT too, but you'll have to load a 2nd instance or get creative with the internal routing.
Also agreed about the AT Fender chorus, this one is nice.
Cheers,

You could select a routing that runs STOMP A and STOMP B in parallel. That's not a problem. It still wouldn't turn the CE-1 into a CE-2 though...susiwong wrote:Agreed that the CE-1 is too thick in many situations.

Hopefully the old 8 routing options will give way to a new user defined modular routing system in the new version.

That's what I meant, exactly.redshift factor wrote:You could select a routing that runs STOMP A and STOMP B in parallel. That's not a problem. It still wouldn't turn the CE-1 into a CE-2 though....
And re the CE-2, it's one of the classics for sure, but there are more imho, all different, all fantastic. Ibanez CCL / PC10 for example, TC or Boss Dimension.
Take your pick, variety is good.

There are five effects that aren't pictured because they aren't traditionally modeled effects. They are more effects that allow for very creative sounds, I don't like trying to find descriptive words for what you could do with them because there's really a whole lot of room for a variety of sound and you may not think the same thing if I tried to find a word like "FripperEdgeaRez-o-JimiChoptastic" to describe the possibilityredshift factor wrote:Are we going to get a rhythmic tremolo/gate, like Sonicbytes Gat'R?

As far as choruses go, so far I can only think of something that can also be used as a chorus and I'll have to check with the devs to make sure they bothered to model the JC120's chorus.
Oh and from what you've guessed already the flanger problem has been solved AGAIN. I'm most excited about that one pedal (and a certain amp model) - luckily this is modeled because we won't have to deal with the drop in output and the very oddly designed internals that could be flaky since we'll have it virtually right there all the time.
I've always hoped for some of the less obvious Boss pedals myself, like the Slow Gear and such, but we might have something to quell those needs in some way too. I've wanted a POG for the organ-ish sound and the White Stripes sort of sound, but I can say we don't have one of those in there. I suppose just Boss and EH could keep the devs busy for the rest of their lives anyway

If we're both talking about that "mystery pedal", there's a good reason why I never owned one, and it's not the sound.
A few friends owned the Deluxe version back in the days - the internals really give you the creeps, and we had to open them often

The analog chorus rack in AT2 is the same as the CE-1, but in stereo. This happens to be what the JC-120 chorus is. I have a JC and I've compared them extensively. The speed range does not match, but you can get a very authentic sound with the right settings.
About the flangers, does this mean we're getting an EH Electric Mistress, or yet another MXR M117?

It should be safe to say that you guys have pegged the Mistress. So, without the level dropping and the crazy internals that are very finicky, I think that's a great one to have. The real pedal is basically something every guitarist I've known with one of them feels the issues are well worth putting up with. I can only imagine how many people like Gilmour or Andy Summers own!
