The red check marks don't work properly, unfortunately. I have downloaded everything in my download area, and very few of the items have the red check marks. In fact, when I downloaded all the OWD kits, all the kits which downloaded successfully the first time did not end up with red checks, whereas the ones which I had to download again because of errors ended up with the red checks... AND they had the red checks before I had managed to download them successfully.2busdriver wrote:OWD Kit 4 ambient - I completed dowload but no red check.
OWD Kit 4 dry - download in process, 1\2 down, but gave me red check already.
are checkmarks flipped or something?

I have a question about the bonus Drum Masters 2 multitrack kits in Phase 3. I already own the following kits:
Drum Masters: Nick D Virgilio Multitrack GRTSCH Drum Kit
Drum Masters: NDV Multitrack Mapex Kit Blastick
Drum Masters: NDV Multitrack Premr Drum Kit
Drum Masters: JB Stereo Sonr Drum Kit
Are these the same as the bonus kits? I realize the JB Sonor is multitrack instead of stereo, but what about the others?
Thanks!

Since we have just reached 1:00am (EST) and nothing has shown up in my user area, I throw out the reminder not to forget us PayPal people.Squids wrote:So some people might get it at around 10ish our time (EST) and some more around 1am depending on how long it takes.
Thanks.

EDIT >>> I take it back... the kits have JUST appeared in my user area over the past 5 minutes.
Double Thanks!
They weren't there before I posted the above, and they appeared right after I posted it. I should learn more patience!

We almost finished. My web guys had to go to sleep toward the end. I am consolidating all of the partial hybrid kits like the Collins, Danger Ogletree, Brady Deep, Duke, Doctor Nirvana, Sensitone, Supraphonic and the Stairway kit into one download because it shares with some of the other kit pieces in other downloads and just has misc kit piece samples and the hybrid kit patches. That is the only one that didn't make it tonight. We'll get it in there first thing in the morning. WHEW this is a lot of new stuff! We're nuts.
ENJOY!
Email blast will go out tomorrow.

Squids you have done an incredible job here. These drums are just fabulous and the possibilities are endless.
And you continue to prove you have great taste, because, as always, the drums that you have participated in recording sound better than almost all the other drum collections on the market. Drum kit after drum kit of awesome acousticness!
I wrote the following tagline in the other community thread, but I had to cut and paste it here as well:
I'm friggin' thrilled out!

I'm looking forward to hearing some of the hybrid variations that you come up with, whenever they are ready. I am planning to hold off on doing too much of my own customizing until I hear the ways in which you have treated the material.Squids wrote:I'm doing the hybrid kits which actually had to wait until this phase so I was working with the latest settings. Those are actually my favorites.

Holy crap on a stick, these drums sound amazing right out of the box. Best drum samples I've ever heard. I could go on and on...
What is driving me nuts however is the hi-hat and snare cut-off behaviour. The semi-closed hat (G#) and the switch hat (A) should cut off the open hats. Also IMHO the snare hits (also the unsustained snare roll on G#) should cut off the sustained snare roll (F#).
Without these cut-offs it sounds unnatural and a bit offputting!
