Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:It should be safe to say that you guys have pegged the Mistress. So, without the level dropping and the crazy internals that are very finicky, I think that's a great one to have. The real pedal is basically something every guitarist I've known with one of them feels the issues are well worth putting up with. I can only imagine how many people like Gilmour or Andy Summers own!
Maybe Susiwong pegged it, but your conversation about the "mystery pedal" was way too cryptic for the rest of us to follow.

So does that mean that this is an Electric Mistress and not a Big Muff Pi?

Was it shown in any other photo?

Is that certain amp model a Hi-Watt? :D

:o He let one slip!

One of the best disguised photos so props to SW for getting it. Props to everyone actually!

This one really only was a guess as you couldn't see any specific detail except for the shape it shares with the Big Muff, exclusively afaik.
Without Peter's hint I'd have taken it for another photo of the Muff, and then Peter did his best to confuse and help at the same time, kind of a game in game.
He sure kept me on my toes for a week ... :hihi:

Speaking of, since you confirmed that we nailed the Mistress, perhaps you could confirm whether or not we nailed the redone AC30 and Dual Rectifier?

And what about that Tube Screamer?
Quite a few people would say that one is also in need of a more accurate update.
And then there is the AT2 generic Wah. It's pretty close to a CryBaby, but a hair off... what about an update making it official?
Anything else?
Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:I've always hoped for some of the less obvious Boss pedals myself, like the Slow Gear and such
That one would definitely be nice. I've only ever even seen a clone of one.
It's on my list now of wanted models, along with the CE-2, MXR M-134, Echoplex, and a Boss AC-3 (or an AC-2 if IK isn't up to taking on COSM technology.)
Think about it. An acoustic simulator. We *need* one. It would make AmpliTube even more awesome. And really stick it to those bastards at Line6. :hihi:
susiwong wrote:And re the CE-2, it's one of the classics for sure, but there are more imho, all different, all fantastic. Ibanez CCL / PC10 for example, TC or Boss Dimension.
Take your pick, variety is good. :)
Can't argue with that. After all, chorus is what put TC Electronic on the map.
However, I just know the CS9/BC9 from Ibanez, which are both classics as well. Regardless, I think the general consensus here is MORE CHORUS PEDALS!
:D

Not true. :-o
It's fairly safe to say the real consensus is :
We need more !
No matter what we have and what fine new stuff we'll get.
We're guitar players ... :hihi:

Ditto what susiwong said... :D

I'm 100% on that Tube Screamer needing a do over but I get the feeling we're not getting that this time round. Bummer.

In terms of the wah's I'm actually quite happy with the Vox in JHE. I just need a Stealthpedal to go with it.

More AmpliTube stuff on the way?? I have all the present stuff and don't need anymore so wont be interested and I'm trying to get my head out of magpie mode.
I am looking forward to SampleTank 3 however.

I would like to see standalone VST versions of all the IK effects. ;)

I disagree.
With the addition of the Small Stone and the Electric Mistress, I can honestly say I'm satisfied with the current phaser and flanger selection in AmpliTube. But the same cannot be said for choruses.

And with the addition of the MKII, I can get by just fine on the Marshalls available (especially if IK rebuilds the AT2 ones.) And I think we could all live happy lives without another Fender model ever again.
But this isn't the case for a Hi-Watt (or 2 or 3.)

Post

I didn't hear anything about the choruses mentioned, and I'd have thought the Small Clone would have been at least considered with the influx of EH effects. Obviously not everything is let out here, but we've shown a lot of gear.

The certain amp I'm a huge fan of is the Orange. I'm a wannabe in the real hardware world, what with my Tiny Terror - can't afford an old point-to-point Orange (or one of those nifty custom jobbies they did recently!).

There's definitely new Mesa and the AC30 is a very specific type of AC30.. I don't know if you guys specified. I'll have to go through and make sure, I think the "feature" is clearly seen in some photos. Regardless, this is not your father's AC30. Well, it COULD be considering the age...

I was pretty sure of that already, but I was hoping to get some good news about a Hi-Watt.

A 1960's JMI era Vox AC30 "Top Boost" with Celestion G12s?

So are you saying that this isn't a replacement for the current AT2 Vox, but in addition to it?
I also notice you say "There's definitely new Mesa", not definitely a new Mesa. Are you choosing your words here to disguise the fact that there are more than one, perhaps? ;)

If these aren't replacements to the current AT2 ones, then that definitely adds another piece to the puzzle and further suggests that it isn't AmpliTube 3 as I am beginning to suspect, but rather an all new edition in the line.

Hmmmm...

Post

It is safe to say there are additions AND reworked models. The original is getting long in the tooth, and we've given competitors enough time to catch up ;)

I didn't word the Mesa thing like that on purpose... There is something new on the Mesa side and I think at least one reworked one.

Oh and that's not the AC30. Think household plumbing for what makes this one special. You have the era correct though.

Early '60s copper panel AC30?
