You need a VST3 host to use this. Currently, only Cubase/Nuendo and Studio One, I think.

Isn't there a converter to fxb though too? I wonder if that would be a way to get these into a more universal format and finally overcome the hopeless patch management of this thing.standalone wrote:You need a VST3 host to use this. Currently, only Cubase/Nuendo and Studio One, I think.

VST3 presets are not organised in banks Stephen, so as its an individual Xml file you can only revert back to .Fxp files.(In fact you just have to delete the header in the Xml file then rename it to .fxp et voilà if I remember well)aMUSEd wrote:Isn't there a converter to fxb though too? There's atm one single program wich makes that afaics and its called VST3 Fxtractor.
Didnt test it btw. Otoh VST3 is different for Kore 2 content management tools.
Each one has its pro and cons but VST3 has certainly its pros.(Like custom cate aso)

Cool, many thanks! What's the path for Windows 7? Anybody know before I drop them somewhere they're not supposed to be?

my guess is it's the same as Vista...
C:\Users\$username\AppData\Roaming\VST3 Presets\
put the Daichi folder in there.
or try converting somes patches yourself and doing a search for .vstpreset which is the file extension
regards

Did you strip all knowledge of who made what from the patches?
While im not super bummed about this.. it does seem a little off that no one is getting credit for their work really.. its just one large amalgamation of patches.. ??

^ mmm i get your point, i suppose i could have included some .txt in the zip that i had found these presets over here in this topic..
but on the flip side at least people can actually use them now.. you know.. to make music.. so.. yeah.

I have credited everyone I could find at the beginning of this thread, mentioning that I did not know a way of attributing the author to the patch during conversion.
If you know of any names that have been missed out, please let me know and I will add them

Fl Studio 9.03 supports VST3. Can I get these to load in Synth1 in Fl Studio? If so, how? After I add an instance of Synth1, how do I open these presets? I only see an option to load fxb/fxp in the fruity wrapper..
Play it by ear

How do I put all these fxp files into one fxb file (bank)? I want to use it in REAPER.
