I can't say that I have tried very hard, but in my initial explorations, I did not see a way to get a continuous snare stir on this Tama Brushkit. Is this just my ignorance or is this type of feature not included in this kit?
Well using the iMAP version of it, there are two stir samples, with a bit of programming it sounds pretty authentic imo.
Hi Sampleconstruct,

I have found one key on the IMAP that is a longer stir, F#1, but that has a built-in rhythm to it and while I agree that it can be a useful sound, it is not a universal continuous stir in the sense that I am searching for. The second stir-like sound I could find is on G#1, however that is quite short in duration. Are those the two stirs which you reference in your post?

Yes, those are the ones I was referring to. To get the perfect stir snare I assume one has to buy the Jazz Kit from OWD :), but I have enough other stir samples in my Library to add them to the Tama Kit.

There is a OWD Kit dedicated to Jazz? Which one is it? That would be a great addition to my drumkit collection :-)

OWD is OWD. Stick only and it is not focused on specific styles or stick types. It's about the sound of that particular studio and the engineers who recorded it. More of a pop/rock kind of sound which are the hits that come out of that studio on a regular basis.

Drum Masters 2 is Sonic Reality's series focused on varieties of styles and in the series we're after emulating every iconic drum sound. There IS a Jazz collection coming out and more brush kits if that is what one is looking for. There's also Danny Gottlieb's kits (drummer from Pat Metheny Group). You guys can have a look around esoundz in the various areas under Drum Masters. Those will all work with your Infinite Player too.

Thanks for clarifying this,Squids. I thought so in the first place, but hope dies last :) . I recently purchased OWD silver with that great coupon and while I'm very happy with the kits, I hoped that there was a brush kit ind OWD Gold, which I could buy ala carte. That there isn't one is not too bad, since I actually got enough brush kits in the IP group buys last year :) . I also got the Danny Gottlieb Kits then, which are awesome, too.

Squids,

You alluded in a previous post to changing how the roll was stopped by the snare hit. Not necessarily like a typical mute group, but along those lines. Is this going to be in one of the updates? Let me know if I misinterpreted your post.

Thanks!

wow...thanks...loving the cymbals, though the rest of the kit is not really my thing....i could probably change out the bass drum and see where i end up....

there's no money left at the moment but i might go for that and cash in my little stash of ezpoints....if anyone is still looking for someone to refer, that'll be 'ebow'

:D

The full cymbal collection - no. SOME of the cymbals from that and his kit? Yes. Here's you list of a la carte kits you can buy for Infinite Player and add to your collection. They will also be updated soon for free with the latest script patches: http://www.downloadablesoundz.com/instr ... nstruments

After a relatively smooth downloading experience (all things considered) I've run into a glitch. I'm not sure if others have had this problem but the links to some of the kits in my download area lead me astray (a NIC site advertising available domains). Other kits are linked to esoundz and when clicked begin the download as expected.

I want the Bonham Ludwig kit but it is one of the links that no workey. OWD Kit 2 is another off the top of my head. I noticed several of the links were to the rogue link instead of esounds.

Help! :-o

I had the same thing happen. I emailed support so I imagine it will get fixed soon enough.
