That's right folks, my first Best Of.

This is a collection of some of my best work since I began making music (2001) - actually, when I say "best" I mean the tracks that I can still listen to today without feeling ashamed.

Some other tracks I thought were worthwhile are not included because I couldn't find them but these have been rescued from dark corners of my HDs and ancient CD-Rs.

It's a .rar file and the tracks are in FLAC format because I had written them on CDs from mp3 files and didn't want to re-encode them to keep some semblance of audio quality.

Sorry about RapidShare, I don't know of any other free hosting pages that would allow me to upload such a big .rar file.

(Since I was someplace with a fastish connection today, I downloaded the full thing from Rapidshare, and when I un-rar 7-Zip tells me that "Dusk Falls on the Wasteland" is broken. Winamp plays it, but I think it stops early. Probably just a download problem on my end, but I figured I'd let you know, see if anybody else had the same problem. Since I'm home with dial-up now, downloading the separate flac to compare is more than I feel like committing to tonight, but I'll get that soon, both to compare with the semi-broken one and to keep the collection complete.)

Dusk Falls is 5min 12secs long normally. I'll have to download and check it out myself in case something happened to the file during upload.

The Hazelnut Way was one of the first tracks I did that I was really proud of. I think it was written in 2003 (not sure though).

It sounds like fairies and fireflies in a forest but kinda sinister, right?

I got the full "Dusk Falls..." tonight--for whatever reason, the other one was missing 13 seconds at the end.

Something else that occurred to me today: Why no "Half-Mute Irene"?

I didn't include Half-Mute Irene because I was mainly doing a "dusting off" of sorts with this material ie. my old stuff that is still worth listening to.
