EDIT: Turns out the problem was with the zipped libraries containing HTML files which caused the installer to balk. Should be fixed now if you re-download the kits (if you had the problem in the first place) :) original post below!

Hey all, let me know if anyone is having the same experience with the installer failing to copy over the whole .nkx.

As far as I can tell, the primary purpose of the installer is to copy the contents of the zips into their respective subfolders - Instruments, Multis, Samples, among other things.

For me, the installer is only copying over part of the .nkx - for OWD1 it's getting like 50KB, and for NDV ST Gretsch Kit it's getting like 10MB. By manually unzipping and copying over the .nkx to the Samples directory I'm able to get the kits working correctly - so if you're having problems, give that a try.

what os are you on? .If its windows 7 or vista do you have UAC turned off? also some antivirus programs like Comoda can interfere with file copying if not set up right.

I'm taking out "not working" from the thread title. Please don't put it back in. The app DOES work. It may not be working for a given individual for a variety of possible reasons - mainly to do with the downloaded sound zip and not the app itself which does work.

Anyway, if you're having issues either try redownloading and installing again, be sure you have the LATEST Infinite Library Installer which is in the download are of www.sonicreality.com (have to register on that site to access downloads).

Thanks

I had the title that way because I was sure someone else must be having the same problem, since my setup isn't anything special. This would be the place to talk about it, right?

I tried the one from the SR downloads section - its timestamp is older but that could be misleading me. Same thing happens - when the .nkx is unzipped (like almost up to its full file size), it goes back down to close to 0 when the installer says "Installation Complete". I'm in contact with support, but I thought I would help out people having the same problem here too.

EDIT: Looks like some other people are having the exact same problem (as seen in the Support thread here), but with different kits, and manual installation is working for them as well.

I had exactly the same problem and solution for OWD1.

Latest update for anyone reading this thread:

Turns out the problem was with the zipped libraries containing HTML files which caused the installer to balk. Should be fixed now if you re-download the kits (if you had the problem in the first place) :D!

Just a suggestion - I have not tried it myself.

Before you redownload, you could try
-- manually extracting the .html file so that you can read it,
-- deleting the .html file from the .zip,
-- then dropping the .zip file onto the IP Library Installer.

That shouldn't be necessary. We took the html file out when we realized it was tripping up the library installer. So all should be good now.

Wow it is late for me... in Anaheim now. Whew. Tired.
