?

Because you have a valid keyfile, you also have a VSTi and VST FX version.

Jonathan Leonard and I are talking about putting up a new SynC Modular site; the domain syncmodular.com was open so Jonathan grabbed it today. More info as we get rolling ;)

good idea the syncmodular site ;-)

This needs to go in the main news - also could it be downloaded from here as well so people don't have old versions?

One of mine is apparently still in the database here: http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=dl&id=303

I bought SynC Modular back in...2001? 2002??? who remembers???
One of the greatest modulars, at that time was very close to generator/reaktor
Sad news when they dropped it, but nice news when I got Reaktor in exchange ;-)

Far as I know KVR has no file hosting space. But anyone can redistribute the software. [edit: It's specifically allowed by the license; redistributing reg codes isn't, except for this new free code.] For safety's sake it would be good for a trusted person to publish an MD5 hash so users can check that they're getting a clean download, not one that has been tampered with.

That is a very good idea
Also I mentioned academic institutions as well who will jump to this
It would be great if all the ensembles/files and tutorials are uploaded on there from other sites if they give permission

Post

really keen to try this. does anyone know if the installer be run in vista?

Post

I can host it if permitted....and if I spot the latest version...I should have on my HD but not quite sure if there were updates...

This is a marvellous initiative and opens a lot of educational possibilities! thumbs up!

Wow this is really cool of Dr. Sync and NI to offer this free :-) Don't need the reg codes I bought it when it was in beta v0.69 I think??

The fact that Dr. Sync did not leave his customers without a great update to Reaktor should be mentioned. I have a version of the DX7 synth DXG1.6 I think that is still my go to for DX7 sounds. Did not like the updates of DXG when it used the sampler for its envelopes? that could be just me though? Anyone who doubts the power of this app because it is old is missing out on some really cool stuff.
