By the way, there is a nice small review on a Japanese website.
thank you guys!http://daw.moat.net/
お値段US$85。 1月15日まではイントロプライスとしてUS$69で販売中。
Sorry for the Japanese, please use Google or similar to translate.

sorry again for the wait but it is getting quite busy here.aircargo wrote:Do you have a roadmap/timeline for an x64 native one? All 32bit plugs have to be bridged into a different process, which isn't optimal. I've gone x64 native with few exceptions and have decided not to buy any *new* plugs that aren't x64. Right now the only 32bit plugs I sill use are the T-Racks singles and that's only because I bought them before my changeover to x64.
At the moment there is no SDK for x64 available.
So I cannot give you any time frame at the moment.

First of all thank you!spinedoc wrote:Pretty nice, but I still think DrMS vst is the best in the vst world for widening without phase issues in mono.
I went onto the website of DrMS, I have not tried it
but looking at the controls it looks quite straightforward.
I will give it a try when I find the time.
There was also the suggestion here to leave everything below 100 Hz untouched, I think this is a good idea and we may incorporate this in the next update.

My demo ended, didn't choose to buy but it was nice (would buy if I didn't have anything that worked similar).
I'm not sure how the shaper function works but again for future a product based on that would be nice, maybe a clever 1 slider design or something more advanced.

Thanks a lot for trying!
I agree, if you know your tools and chain up the rights plug-in's in the right order you can come to a similar result.
A typical chain would probably look something like this,
bass enhancer
exciter
maximizer
stereo spreader
limiter
The CPU consumption of such a chain can be quite demanding.
Soundspectral is always trying to keep the CPU consumption as low as possible without sacrificing sound quality.
We think that with Max B.Wide as well, we achieved this goal.
Providing great sound quality at minimal CPU.
How do you imagine the shape function should work and behave?
Any specific idea would be useful.
While we are fans of a one knob or one slider design,
I think that this would just be too limited for this function.
We already reduced the number of controls dramatically
and it was really a challenge to provide the end-user with such a simple and easy to use interface.
By the way, we forgot to mention, that the full version
of Max B. Wide will let you also access all the controls by using automation.

Well, I can't comment much cause naturally I don't know the details under the hood
I liked it when lift function was on. It can be very useful to glue a track without (over) compressing. But some freq.s get hyped while increasing so to get to the glue wanted, controls are needed. Current controls are only designed to be additive but decreasing is needed to balance the effect and preserve the glue.
What I mean is more like pultec eq type controls. It has both increase and decrease to find a balance needed around the same area.
But as said I'm not sure what it does specificly so just throwing ideas here on making something based on something else

Thank you for your detailed answer!
Your argumentation concerning the shape function makes sense, even a lot of sense.
So we have decided to add this modification to our next update.
I wonder if it might make some sense on the bass boost as well...
Thank you again for your useful thoughts!

Lately we received a few questions concerning the Usage of Max B.Wide and how to use the VST the best way.

The basic idea was to create something similar to
an "Aphex big bottom" or a "BBE Sonic Maximizer" kind of mastering tool.
But without using the psychoacoustic approach.
After we were happy with the result, we added some other features that would be useful in the process.
Max B.Wide should be used on the master bus,
at the end of the effect chain.
It was not made to be used on a single channel or instrument, even though this can work very well depending on the material that you are going to process.
But in that case you should not use it at the same time on your master.
You can always try all kind of ways of usage,
but please be aware adding too much of those frequencies can result in unwanted effects.
We hope that this clears up some of the questions that you might have.
If there is anything else you would like to know,
please simply post here and we will reply as soon as possible.
Thank you and also thank you for all your support!

We just wanted to inform you that we moved our website back to the original www.soundspectral.com server.
At the moment this is just temporary as well as that Google translate button.
But at least this way people from around the world can get an idea what Max B. wide is about.
We are getting surprisingly many visits from all around the globe, even from some countries that I haven't heard of before.
Maybe this will help at least for a day or two, before we will remove the Google translate again.
We will also add a normal PayPal button to the already existing www.SWreg.org even though they are doing PayPal as well.
Everything should be ready within the next two days.
You can still buy our product just like before as long as you don't translate into another language by using Google.
thank you for your attention!

Hallo,
We just wanted to inform you that we have added
www.PayPal.com

so that you can now directly purchase our products by using your PayPal account or credit card without going through
www.SWreg.org

We will also add
www.shareit.com

to the payment options in the next days.
Some people, for some reason did not trust SWreg
and ask us for a different payment option,
even though this is the same company that is also doing www.shareit.com (among quite a few others)
We hope that now everybody will be happy with the new payment choices.
Because of all these payment and server changes,
we decided to extend the introduction price of only $69/€49 until the end of January.
Thank you again,
Soundspectral
