Cantabile Lite Midi Mapping

Ok, I have to admit to being blown away with this software. I checked out a few other VST hosts and this one is heads and shoulders above anything else I have seen in terms of professionalism, features, usability etc. The fact that there is a free lite version is just awesome.
One thing I am having trouble with though (and I have searched a bit, but only downloaded a few hours ago, so slap me around if I'm being a total n00b) is mapping specific MIDI ports to specific VSTi synths.
For example, I want to have one rack, with two syths. Synth A gets MIDI channels 1 & 10, synth B gets channel 2 etc.
How I would expect it to work, is being able to check any MIDI channels I want in a picklist per plugin. There is one for each rack, but strangely (?) I can't select multiple channels (eg if I select Ch10, Ch1 becomes unselected)
The best work around is putting each synth in a separate rack, using omni and making sure nothing I don't want to hear is enabled. That doesn't seem too flexible.
What I would really like, is a drag-and-droppable interface diagram like Console has (although I realise that's a big ask and a major interface change)
I'm wondering if I need the "MIDI Filters" feature that is only in the paid verions...although looking at the screenshot for that feature on the web, it doesn't seem to do exactly that either.
Please let me know if I'm missing something obvious

Looks like you have reached the limits of the "Lite" version.Zilch wrote:I'm wondering if I need the "MIDI Filters" feature that is only in the paid verions...

The payware contains a lot of midi filters that can do what you desire, like selecting channels, re-channelizing, multiplying and a lot more. It's not just one feature but a lot of bits you can chain up. Guess you have to bite the bullet an drop down the bucks for "solo" or "performer"...
...but don't complain you're missing "subsessions" in "solo"... another cool feature...
I guess only thing I can recommend is have a look in the manuals to find out more about all the things under the hood.
Or what about downloading the 30day trial versions first?

Yeah - trying the trial of the 'solo' version might be the go. It seems pretty reasonably priced.
I'm just a bit weirded out that selecting MIDI channels would be a limit of the 'Lite' version though, so I want to make sure that I wasn't missing anything obvious. (Still feels like I am!)

Ok, if anyone else has this problem... embarrassingly simple solution: Hold the [Cntl] key while multi-selecting MIDI channels.
Not sure why I didn't try that before. Since they look like checkboxes I kinda of expected to be able to toggle them on and off without the use of keyboard modifiers. I don't think I have ever had to hold [Ctrl] for drop down menu items before.
I don't really understand why they can't work as normal checkboxes. Maybe some tooltips or better coverage in the manual?

You refer to the channel map midi filter?
You're right with the CTRL key for multi selections. That's how multi selections work everywhere in windows, don't they?

...and no! Not for menus or checkboxes! (At least I don't think so. I challenge you to find 3 other examples in major applications!)
