OFF THE SUBJECT midi drum LOOPS

ANyone know of some nice midi drum loops, I would like to throw ina few loops and start jamming to them on guitar...I know we got the ODD loops but, they are just that..kind of odd, usefull for some things I AM NOT COMPLAINING..I am just woundering if anyone knows of some other cool loops...I have groovemonkey!!

Check out OddGrooves web site, they offer some excellent grooves besides the ones you have now. There is a very nice selection of 4/4 stuff plus another of fills that I think might impress you.

the loops that come with ezplayerpro are pretty cool, plus once its registered there is a free package that has samples from other toontrack products,a few nice onces from vintage rock esp. the zep ones

Addictive drums is now providing the "raw" MIDI files for any product you own. So these can be used in EZPlayer to trigger for example the kits from the recent group buy. I've got AD of course, the retro and both jazz packs, and i bought the rock midi pack, so a LOT of midi files there.
I really like oddgrooves, but as almost everything i do is 4/4. So (for me) I don't find much use beyond the 4/4 packs. But they are really great. Per tells me they will be releasing more 4/4 type packs this spring and summer. I will buy them immediately.
I've bought a few groove monkee packs. They are fine, I'm just am not as excited about them as others.
The midi files that come w/ezplayer are good. I'll probably buy the basic midi pack from toontrack.
I find it strange there is such a HUGE selection of drum based AUDIO loops, but very few midi loops. And the midi loops can of course produce the exact same results as audio loops given the right samples and effects, plus provide enormous control of the final output. It may be more work, but the flexibility is far far beyond what an audio loop can provide. Maybe it's the extra work that causes people to favor audio loops. I dunno.

I am pretty psyche about SQUIDS midi grooves, I been watching him play the OWD on you tube, he plays that damn keyboard and it sounds like a great drum kit paying kick ass grooves..I cant wait to get them...I guess as soon as NAMM is done he is going to start working on them, man he smokes that keyboard!!

There are some great midi loops out there. So when Sonic Reality does our own we're more interested in doing new degrees of expression and feel that you don't normally find in GM loops. Granted our loops will be in iMap though so they'll only work with our products and any company that supports iMap. The goal is to make so many great midi files that companies will be begged to support iMap by the users. I think this already happened with Toontrack and they implemented it. Some other midi programs too. But there's never been a better reason than grooves made WITH the iMap.
Plus we have grooves done by the drummers as well so you can mix and match kits and grooves... don't worry. We know!
