It would be very unAmpliTubish.
Well, pedals drag&drop and MIDI learn was very "unAmpliTubish", that didn't stop them from implementing it though :P

Emails are not going out all at once, there are a LOT of emails to be sent. If you still don't have one in th enext day or two let me know.

Thanks!
this is exactly what i was talking about. good going IK. will be looking for that email ;)

Nigel: "No."
Marty: "Don't look at it?"
Nigel: "No, you've seen enough of that one."

I'm confused about all this cab talk......

I'm looking forward to what AT3 has in it, not loading a bunch of extra cabs....I can do that right now and get that sound. IK put in the time so that I shouldn't have to even consider a different one.....or I'd think

I have every AT2 offering and bought them all as soon as they came out... I have $134 Jam $ (whatever they are)......

So, when and how much will this upgrade set me back?

Thanks,

You will be better off with the incentive for people who own the three (AT2, Jimi, Metal) outright and not bundled or from promo/freebies. If you don't get any email or other contact about this before NAMM's done let me know.
ahh, so now esoundz GB participants get hosed.

here we go again :)

whatever, i'll wait for the esoundz GB after the smoke clears then to upgrade. assuming that will happen i can wait for it.

Nah. That was always an inevitable part of AmpliTube's unfulfilled potential.
So is a Hi-Watt model. One day...

What I'm wondering about right now is if we can type in parameter values in AmpliTube 3, finally. I'd like to one day have a delay that is exactly 250ms long...
That would fall under more of that unfulfilled potential.

No need to be confused, we are just discussing possible future features and product suggestions.

And this is what you will get :)

The truth is that none of us here is the Amplitube Product Manager. So we can only voice our opinions.

I see the integrated & optional IR loading cab as an added feature (like TH1, Revalver, LePou, Nick's does) so a step forward, while some see it as a step sideways...

Oh well, we will just agree to disagree on that one.

I get like that too. If I see a parameter somewhere that is like, 251, 1499, 13001... I go crazy. I have the shakes. Eventually, I just scrap the project. Sell the plug in.

:hihi:

"New full-stereo path allows you to use the huge collection of analog and digital effects on your vocal tracks, keyboards and drums."

Wowzers, just read that, about Amplitube 3. That's cool..

Yeah, now we can have arbitrary values in stereo!

AT3 seems to be nice. But still no Ring Modulator .... :(

Fwiw, imho cab impulses are a mixed blessing.
I have a big collection including Recabinet complete, but built in cabs are so much more convenient than browsing a myriad of options ...
My personal plan is as follows:
First I'll try to get to grips with AT3's wealth of options, I have great hopes for that, especially considering Peter's statement that the older amps all have been reworked, too - pretty sensational ...
Once I have found my favourites here (I'm afraid there will be many  ) I might start a thread to share cab recipes using LeCab with the goal of finding a few external reference cabs to use with any ampsim.
And there is GR4's CR too which sounds fantastic ...
Ultimately I want to end up with a small set of reference cabs instead of always starting from scratch.
The list could look something like that:
112 open Jensen
112 Thiele EV a la Boogie
212 open Jensens a la Twin
212 open JBL a la Twin
212 open Bulldogs
212 closed T65/70/75
412 closed Greenbacks
412 closed V30s
412 closed T65/70/75
410 open Jensens
or similar, ymmv
Sticking to such a small list of cabs will streamline the process a lot for me, in hardware my cabs are a known quantity, I know what to expecct before even connecting an amp. That's how I ultimately want to work ITB, too.
If I need external impulses to reach that goal so be it, if the built in cabs will achieve that - hey, even better. :tu:
Ymmv,
susiwong

And I've never been afraid of combining different sims, what sounds good is good.
All I want is establish some constant factors, and cabs are a good place to start.
Too much choice can be limiting, too.

where's the list of what's new in AT3 compared to AT2?

Apparently even the models that existed in AT2, are new again in AT3. According to Peter, they went in and tweaked things under the hood for everything.

It's true, and a lot of my gripes seemed to have been resolved in this update. I think I was a loud proponent for Dragagle stomps, MIDI Learn, a dedicated non i/o controller and a more modular system for add-ons. Oh yeah, and I invented the Beatles too. (can you name the movie that's from?) Of course I'm not the only one, but it looks like your listening and I appreciate that.

Now reward me god damn it and make me a beta tester! :x
