These are not labeled as such yet, but I think there's some in here. We'll refine and add more as time goes by: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/amplitube/audiodemo/sinzero wrote:any demos out there of StepFilter, StepSlicer, Resonator, TapDelay, and Swell?

I just preordered Amplitube3. Thanx for the coupon and everything but with the License Transfer Credit costing 40 Euros, I'll keep my Metal license as well because there's no way I'll waste my time and effort to sell it only to receive ~20% of the money. Maybe then some day you'll reconsider this nonsense.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:It replaces X-GEAR, AmpliTube 2, Hendrix, and Metal. The preorder lasts through February according to my sources.Harry_HH wrote: Thanks for the reply. Though, can you elaborate these:
-does the AT3 totally replace just AT2 and X-Gear or also Metal/Hendrix (or just partly)?
-when does the pre-order limited time special price offer end?

Are all the screenshots on the IK site up to date?
The new amps don't let you mix and match individual components, like AT Fender, but the amps that were in the original AT2, Hendrix, and Metal still appear to allow for this. Is that accurate?

Great that it works now... Does this mean that people suffering from this will get an extreme discount? After all, my "Total Guitar And Bass Bundle" croaked after I had it for about a month. That coupled with the perpetual Authentication Failure (which luckily is in the past, and I hope for A3 too), made it so I just wasted € 500,00. Now I have a new set of hardware and I am not inclined to testing out the new A3. Once bitten, twice shy and all that. I only raised this issue for the brave souls who are willing to try it out.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:This doesn't happen in what we've got now, and the newest X-GEAR resolves the problem for people. If it does not do so for you, let me know what your ticket number is and I'll have our Support Manager contact you. If it happens with the demo of AmpliTube 3 when that's out, of course we'd like to know that too.

Support should be able to help with any remaining issues, I will definitely forward any support ticket number to our support manager.
Discounts that were discussed were for previous buyers who did buy the set at non-promotional pricing, and those that can take advantage of the preorder deal that was sent out via email too.

What's weird to me is that I have been an IK customer for a LONG LONG time... I have purchased every AT2 product including a STEALTH pedal but I never got an email for the coupon. I made sure that my email me check marks were on for my IK account and they are but no coupon.
Anyway, I had a ton of jam points to order the upgrade as well for about $100.... but still, no coupon?

Yeah, me either... though after seeing your post I looked and had my user acct getting no emails (no boxes checked) so maybe that's why for me. As far as that goes.... does it look like the codes are personalized or is it just kinda generic (in which case it should work as long as you have the right products registered)...jkleban wrote:What's weird to me is that I have been an IK customer for a LONG LONG time... It seems to me, if you are having trouble getting the emails, you'll have no trouble considering the "IK" presence here....simply a matter of time...which we have since the product is not currently available
I'd suspect monday, maybe tuesday, you'll be taken care of with minimal effort. And for some reason I don't think the "newsletter" check box has anything to do with the emails for registered users, but I could be wrong.

As I don't have either AT2 or AT3, may I ask if you can bypass/turn off different essential modules in a route? (For example bypassing cabinets and amps, if you just want to use the effect pedals)
And as far as I've seen there are a few redundancies in AT3 and AT Fender. How do they compare to each other?
(Like '65 Deluxe Reverb, Bassman, etc.)
Is IK considering addons for AT3 like they did with the previous version, or they'll just simply update it?
Thanks in advance, David

1. bypass - yes, like AT2/X Gearrectus_dominus wrote:As I don't have either AT2 or AT3, may I ask if you can bypass/turn off different essential modules in a route? (For example bypassing cabinets and amps, if you just want to use the effect pedals)

2. nobody really knows yet, but apparently they have been updated to current quality, and don't forget the new cab section ...
3. IK mentioned the possibility of buying individual modules in the future, no details yet
No guarantees, but that's the official info.

Good post...Harry_HH wrote:But at the same time I can't help thinking that these guitar modelling plugins are already at the moment that sophisticated and versatile that the average user is using just a fraction of the features. Are we users more fascinated of the image of getting more and more and more every year than really USING the new possibilities in practise? If you use more time for buying new products than making music, there might be place for a serious soul searching regarding this question (anyway, I myself have recognized this danger).
I got myself the GR4, Amplitube2, Fender Amplitube, Metal, Hendrix and the SVX. Rationally the IK X-Gear offers all I neeed. But at the end of day, I will probably buy the AT3, too - sooner or later... I'm as weak as you other, guys.
I own all the present AmpliTube gear too and the truth is I really don't NEED to upgrade to AmpliTube 3...I don't feel I have explored all the options yet especially with Fender and SVX which I just got recently..
I think I will pass on AmpiTube 3 for a few months maybe even a year or so...I'm much more interested in the upgrades to SampleTank which I feel is a necessary and useful upgrade.
Another thing that puts me off the AmpliTube upgrade is the juggling act concerning licence transfers for my would-be redundant plugs which even still is hardly worth it considering the horrible transfer fee..
Still its nice to see IK Multimedia constantly working on quality software/hardware. I'm glad to be a supporter.

Seriously, really great posts, guys.
I'm probably gonna grab AT3 upgrade since I haver a ton of IK points to use. I'm really liking the Guitar Rig 4 upgrade and been trying to focus on that now, with the very same mindset you're talking about (exploring deeper what I've already got, and focusing more on actually playing instead of using that energy buying/checking out new stuff, etc.)
But, again, really great, well written intelligent, insightful posts echoing my own inner debate about the doing the AT3 upgrade --- how very refreshing (vis-à-vis Internet web board posts in general .... not a knock on my fellow KVRers)

Thanks for the nice feedback - I believe that the negative side of this "armaments race" is a rather common dilemma, but what can you do, continuous development is built-in to our system. Of course there are many many advantages in it, too(the whole western civilization, for example;-). BTW, I haven't found out the details of the IKdbender wrote:[quote="lotus2035

deal when upgrading the AT2/Metal/Hendrix to the AT3. Where did you refer
with the "licence transfers for my would-be redundant plugs", Lotus2035? Harry
