Vienna Concert Grand = Bösendorfer
New York Concert Grand = Steinway
Berlin Concert Grand = Bechstein
New NI Pianos - Anybody tried them?

Clearly not worth getting worked up about because the Akoustik Piano pianos in K5 weren't very impressive
Not worth using in music then, not worth buying (or being sad about not getting for free) now.

They certainly seem to get more flack than kudos. I haven't had a chance to play some of the high end piano libraries that are out there, but to me the Bechstein and Bosendorfer on Akoustik Piano are quite usable and sound much better than the TruePianos or Pianoteq modules that people rave about so much. And also better than the other low end sampled piano libraries I have played. *shrug*aircargo wrote:Clearly not worth getting worked up about because the Akoustik Piano pianos in K5 weren't very impressive![]()

But if someone bought K6, he knew what he was getting. And he knew he was paying a lot less than the thousand bucks people were paying for K5 not so long ago. And those of us with K5 or AP can still use Akoustik Piano but know it won't be updated in the future. I don't really see the problem in either case.

Critically,
The akoustic library actually has a showstopping bug for many people, which is that when stopping and restarting the DAW transport it can create a click/pop that blocks the entire audio signal.
This can occur in the original VST plugin format, and the same library loaded in Kontakt 4.
So the proposed solution for users to load the library in K4 is not viable for many.
(Why not upgrade users onto the new purpose released K4 libraries which I assume are bug-free and tested ?)
