Hi, are you sure it's the multitrack kit? The stereo version works fine for me, just the multitrack version has the issue.
Yep, positive it's the multitrack - DM2 NDV MT Premr Kit.
thanks. can you tell me the size of your zip install file. mine is 1,150,622,811 bytes
ip-dm2ndvpremrmtkit-nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn-ducatibruce.zip 1,150,622,811 bytes - weird

Thank you too Reverend Rhythm.
You know, I did try that & it wouldn't open so it seems like it was corrupted.

I'm just in the process of re-downloading that kit again. Thank goodness I just bought 'Speed Download' the other day because so far it does make a difference on how long the download takes. Much quicker :)

@ anyone with corrupted downloads:
when you find these corrupted .zip files:
-- which Browser are you using?
-- did you use a Download Manager, if so, which one?
-- does the .zip file open for browsing if you double-click it (on Windows, anyway)?
-- are the .zip file sizes the same as published on your eSoundz Account page?

In fact, can you guys post the exact file name (remove your personal details) the file size published on your eSoundz Account page and the actual download file size (both in bytes).

megadude wrote:Is there a way to route the outputs of a single instance of kontakt player so that, e.g., the snare sound goes to one track for processing with effects, while the hihat goes to a different one. I don't mean within Kontakt via its internal effects. (I figured out how to do that). I mean with external ones.
Short answer:
-- each drum kit piece needs to be routed to a different Kontakt Mixer channel
-- each Kontakt Mixer Mixer channel needs to be routed to a different VSTi output
-- each VSTi output needs to be routed to a different audio track/mixer channel in your host.

Have a look through the Infinite Player Tips & Trick thread in this forum.
megadude wrote:Also, and this will show how newbie i am, i had downloaded a while back kontakt 3 player but never got the demo library authorized. and i couldn't figure out how to upgrade it to kontakt 4 via service center. so i just downloaded the kontakt 4 player as well. so they are both on my harddrive. i'd like to just get rid of kontakt 3 now, but will doing that screw up anything? i installed the infinite player in kontakt 4.
NI says that Kontakt (Player) 3 and 4 are completely different programs. So if you installed them into different Program folders (the dlls are named differently, aren't they anyway) you should be OK. All it's taking up is a bit more disk space.

I seem to be having the same problem. I laid out 16 bars of midi snare hits, made sure the velocity was the exact same on every hit, and there is definitly flucuation in the volume. I checked and altered the snare velocity settings in Kontakt with no success. Anyone else noticed this?
Yes, I made that post on the Monster Thread and I first noticed it with OWD Kit 13, with Kontakt, and so I checked the sample mapping and each hit seems to jump to a different set of samples, and I believe Squids said it might be the way the samples were mapped and he going to check it all out. I didn't get a chance to check all the drums sets but I saw the same behaviour on one or two others. On Kit 13 there was also a different pitch on each different hit, and I turned the Velocity to Pitch to zero and it still didn't change anything. I'm sure Squids and team will find what does that and fix it. Thanks.
Thanks, lehti for confirming. Your description of what's happening is better than mine. I hope we can get some action on this soon!!Comps and limiters aren't going to help if different samples are being triggered.

Dumb question but..are you using the NEW updated IP installer?

I had to DL that damn gretch kit 5 times and I DID have the right file size every time...I finally unzipped it myself and placed the file in the correct spot in the IP folder...works great!!!

Unless I am totally off on what your problem is..before you DL it again, just try unzipping it and do it by hand...worked for me. good LUCK!!

I love these kits, all is working well, but now I want more.....trying to stop myself from buying the SSD ex for $99.00...god I hate being a Gearslut

I don't think this is a download or installer problem. The Premier kit nkx files appear to be installed in the right place, but for some reason the Premier kit multi is looking for Gretsch kit nkx which we don't and shouldn't have? It seems like something must be wrong in the multi. But then people claim the kit is working fine for them with the same size download, which is very strange....

Maybe because these people have chosen the Premier AND the Gretsch mt kits they have no problems?

thank you Dark Star. my questions are pretty basic but i really appreciate the time you took to help me.

i have one other dumb question. i can't remember which zips i have dragged into the installer. what happens if i drag a zip into it twice? i don't want it to create more files on my harddrive.
Why'd you slice off my hand?

I am pretty sure it over wrote the others, the new IP installer had a fix in it so you COULD drag the same zip file more than once! I am just going on memory hear so I may be wrong!

That would seem to be the problem - though I have the Gretsch kit from an earlier GB. Renaming Infinite Player/Samples/NDV MT Grtsch Kit_128.nkx causes the Premier kit to give errors (56 missing files) when loading. I suspect the multi should be pointing to Samples/NDV MT Premr Kit_133.nkx

Who wants to let Allen know?

edit to add: I've emailed a report to Allen

I've already let him know that I thought it was the multis. I figured those that werent having problems had the gretch multitrack as well
