Yeah we usually delete those files. The Mac just loves to put them in there. Can't stand that. But at least it doesn't affect anything.
The NDV Premier referencing issue was fixed and Allen is putting a patch update into the SR support/downloads area of www.sonicreality.com and the kit itself is being updated for anyone who hasn't downloaded it yet (or you could just redownload it).
Edit: The update is ready now! Fast.

Windows users can delete the .DS and ._DM2 as these are temp mac files. These files have since been removed. The NDV Premr MT Kit has been updated.HTBoogie wrote:The same thing occurred for many of the kits I unpacked using the IP Installer. There is also a ._.DS_Store file in the directories as well. These look to be related to Mac usage. I am using Windows XP Pro. It looks like the installer is copying files on Windows that are not needed. Should these files just be deleted?maximilians1 wrote: (clip)
Also the patch update created duplicate entries in the multi browser , the duplicates read like this " ._DM2 Bonhm Ludwg STm Kit GM.nkm" they load as empty multis. No big deal though, just a little messy.

Anybody else had a problem with the Drum Masters 2 NDV MT Blasticks Kit..
None of the kit pieces are showing any response in the gui.. although i have control via the mixer section..
I actually wanted the the gretch kit and Ezplayer but made the wrong selection... my bad...
Loving this package of great sounding drums... with the new odd grooves and groove monkee midi loops with these drums i'm getting superior results in a fraction of the time.. many thanks... paul..

Hi, I may be missing something, but this does not sound like the stereo premier kit. It sounds like a different set of drums (more like the gretsch). Isn't this supposed to be the MT version of the stereo premier kit dry and ambient?allen_esoundz wrote:Windows users can delete the .DS and ._DM2 as these are temp mac files. Are you speaking of metering on each kit piece? You will not see the metering with the Multi-Track kits like you see with the Stereo kits. All Multi-Track kits are routed through the output section (mixer).

One issue... do the Drum Masters kits respond to CC4 for hihat open/close control? I am trying it with the JB sonor kit and it doesn't appear to be working. If not CC4, is there something else I should use instead? Thanks....

The Kontakt Player itself does respond to CC4. But IIRC there's something in the GB scripts that overrides this. That said, the hats on my V-drum kit send out the CC4 message and they are working just fine. So I'm kinda confused on this myself. Since everything is OK, I figured I'd leave well-enough alone. Maybe Dave or Allen could clarify.chroma wrote:One issue... do the Drum Masters kits respond to CC4 for hihat open/close control? Good luck.

Yes, it is the same kit. But this is the multitrack version. The Dry and Ambient were just two different mixes (blends of mics from the multitrack kit) and then combined into stereo kit pieces.duojet wrote:

I will elaborate on that just a bit. The stereo kits are also routed through the output mixer too. But the main first channels are what show in the GUI so for stereo kit pieces you might see it. For MT kits that have multiple channels going out from that same kit piece you likely won't.allen_esoundz wrote:Redhawk1 wrote:Anybody else had a problem with the Drum Masters 2 NDV MT Blasticks Kit..

For anything to respond to a CC it has to be programmed. You can actually control any of the parameters you want with any CC. We don't over-ride anything. But CC4 has not been set up to do anything with the hi hat. In order to do that we need to add a few things to the hi hat script so it does it in a way that will be what people are asking for. That will be in a free update when we have it though. For now there are other ways to do it or you can just use the open closed foot.chroma wrote:One issue... do the Drum Masters kits respond to CC4 for hihat open/close control? So, I had some nanopad setups for Session Drums (an Ableton Live thing; it's mostly GM+). I'm trying to change over so that everything is IMap instead. I've got mappers so that I can use Imap and it gets translated to GM for session drums. However, in session drums, if I play open HH and change CC4, I get several different samples depending on how open the HH is (sounds like at least 4 different levels usually). I'd like to see this for the DM/OWD kits as well, but am not sure how to implement that myself? Any ideas? Does that really have to done in the scripts, or is there enough in there for me to do that?

If you can get your remapper to switch notes of the imap to play different hi hat articulations then you could do it yourself outside of the plug-in. OR you could control the RELEASE of the hi hat envelope with CC4 by control clicking that knob and setting it. Those two might work but if not then the script update will do it automaticaly. ETA on that I don't know but it is high on the list.chroma wrote:So, I had some nanopad setups for Session Drums (an Ableton Live thing; it's mostly GM+). Wicked. I like that section with the toms and the watery guitar. Cool stuff Dimitar! Great examples of the drums in different context.dimitar wrote:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3240634/Gretsch ... i_Demo.mp3
