Peter, I have two questions:

1) can we use our computer keyboards now to input parameter values numerically in AT3?

And something I think a lot of people are wondering:
2) what did the "remastering" process entail?

Did it involve taking new measurements and rebuilding the models from the ground up?

Or was it more of a matter of applying updated saturation algorithms to the existing models?

What I'm wondering is if the AT2/JHE/Metal models will sound more or less the same but more dynamic and responsive, or if some or all will sound drastically different and truly closer to the hardware they are modeling.

redshift - I'm aware of those questions and I'll get you definitive answers with more detail than I can provide as soon as I get them. I'm just waiting on some more info. Thanks for your patience.

ETA on this? Next month? Q2? I don't want to pre-order if it means waiting 3 months or more...

AmpliTube 3 was announced to be released in February.

Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:$199, or if preordered $149, and if you also have Jimi Hendrix and Metal which weren't bundled or free, you'd qualify to get it for $99. Just to clarify the pricing mentioned.
Where do i find the 99 price, don't see it in the online store.

There's a coupon sent via email to those that purchased all three (AmpliTube 2, Hendrix, and Metal) outright - no bundles or freebies from promos) which will bring the upgrade price down to $99. We had a smaller mailing list sent during NAMM for some reason so some are in the process of going out.

Please whitelist us for emails and if you don't get one within a couple of days from now please PM me your username and registered email and I will definitely check out the situation for you.

Thanks!

I was therefore under the impression that that ruled me out... I had purchased AT2 outright, and also AT Jimi Hendrix, then joined the recent group buy to get the remainder of the "Powered By" collection, choosing AT Fender as the principal purchase (so AT Metal was one of the "freebies").
I do, however, also have almost every other IK plugin.
So, imagine my very pleasant surprise when I just received, a few minutes ago, my promo code to upgrade to AT3 for €109 (plus 19% VAT, nonetheless).
Needless to say, I have just placed my pre-order :)

Thank you IK Multimedia :)
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Perhaps there's still hope for me, then.

Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:@Oscat01 - Funny that you mention it directly. as we are definitely following the Cubase bridge saga closely. It was mentioned to me when I asked about 64-bit here.

We're not really arguing against early adopters, but balancing market demands with features that are more utilitarian and smaller market share (based on not just the DAW situation) is a fine line. That's part of the reason we're lucky in one way that the effects plugins are not as affected, and though there's no official line until the dust cloud starts to settle a bit more, we have our eyes on SampleTank 3 as a big contender for the 64-bit native mantle.

We should have more information available about 64-bit compatibility and bridging and such in the near future too.
Fingers crossed, that is indeed great news, hope all goes according to plan.

Have all of the discount emails gone out yet? Haven't received mine.

Also, would it be possible to offer an intermediate discount to those who bought 2 of the 3 relevant Amplitube products? Surely buying 2 of the three is worth more discount than buying just one.

I reckon "Total Guitar And Bass Bundle" counts as a bundle? Name suggests it, but just checking...

Post

@Viv - yes, that's a bundled version. You would qualify for the $50 off upgrade price with that, according to what I'm told.

@ionized - we had an unexpectedly shorter run during NAMM, so you may still get it. If you don't within a couple of days just hit me up with your username and registered email and I can help you out. Same thing if you don't get yours, tboulette

@blueman - as soon as we can in February. It is really quite playable even right now. I was squealing feedback on the MarkIII model just this morning :) Talk about playability/feel/reaction improvements...

@vic_france - you're welcome :) We're really doing our best to listen and get folks what they want, with great sound quality and price, greater support, and more.

I've now received my e-mail, and I'm really looking forward to the release! :-)
