With the amount of posts here at KVR, things disappear from the main page real quick....
So call this a BUMP
OT - It would be nice if the recent post column could lose the "poster" and "time" - that way, more posts would be visible... food for thought?

I pay AUS $80 per month for 10Gb/peak + 15Gb/off peak...Igro wrote:Also interesting if here are people who pay for traffic amount. I know in UK a lot of users have 20Gb, 40Gb limits(after that they pay more), which is ridiculous
I have to watch the size of everything I download...

Not wanting to be over-pedantic, but be aware Mb / sec is different from Mbit / sec. I'm also having 3.5 Mb per sec on my 32 MBit lineasseca wrote:speed: 3,5Mb/s

I think you're maybe confusing the abbreviations for the units.Peter from LinPlug wrote:Not wanting to be over-pedantic, but be aware Mb / sec is different from Mbit / sec.asseca wrote:speed: 3,5Mb/s

3.5Mb/s is 3.5 Mbit/second
3.5MB/s would be 3.5 Mbytes per second
Network and modem rates are typically measured in bits/second.

I pay for 2Mbit but get 1.5Mbit at most as I'm three miles (approx 5km) from the exchange - not uncommon in rural England where the telephone network is made from chewed string.
"are we there yet?"

I'm on a fairly old contract so it's uncapped (or rather, I'd have to download a lot to trigger the 'fair usage' rules) but not superquick (2Mb/s in practice but it is a consistent 2Mb/s).Igro wrote:Also interesting if here are people who pay for traffic amount. Wow. That's a rip off! I'm in Aus & I have 20GB/peak + 40/off peak for about the same price, but still end up getting capped (slowed down) all too easily.....Sooo jealous of Americans & whatnot with their unlimited downloads:(John-E34 wrote:I pay AUS $80 per month for 10Gb/peak + 15Gb/off peak...Igro wrote:Also interesting if here are people who pay for traffic amount.
