phew!
this thing is great!
drumpad is just about the coolest shit ever. when used in FL, it is pretty much exactly what i have been missing. love it. and stacking up ten or twelve of them isnt as bad on the cpu as i feared. it is a very very useful addition, since i will often not want to use drumatrixs sequencer.
i eagerly await the chance to buy at least one of these.
mucho danka!

Just to mention a small bug in vsti drumpad. When switching to the next preset: click_on switch the preset and click_off switch again so preset are advancing by 2 instead of 1.

The channel volume control in FL doesn't affect Drumatrix volume at all.
If I turn down channel volume all the way, Drumatrix volume is as loud as ever.
Is this by design, or is it a bug?

I want this...
It's a great pm drum machine.
Did I mention I want this.
Never owned an IL product.
Do I have to have the downloader software on there?
Is it necessary?

cant wait to get it too
some questions/suggestions:
- +1 for non-lazy knobs
- cpu spikes: anyone tried fx/orchestral2? and, with drumpad, fx/dropletHi?
- would a rendering/normal/low-cpu option be feasible?
- could/should the pattern sequencer be optional (make invisible to save screen space if one doesnt need it)?
- edit: midi controllable gate (stop sound with note off)?

In American copyright law, titles can't be copyrighted. (I don't know if she is American or English or British.) Also, if Drumatrix were a registered trademark, there should be a superscript circle-R symbol after it on her book.JMC wrote:Since we received a complaint about the name we might change it to Drumaxx but if anyone has suggestions just shoot.
But I do like the suggestion above of "Druminatrix"

Hi all,
www.uspto.gov
is an invaluable resource on American patents and trademarks.
Nothing like *drumatri* shows up in a trademark search, but someone should repeat it.
Yes, titles cannot be copyrighted. They cannot be trademarked either, because trademarks identify, according to our copyright and trademark attorney years ago, the SOURCE of a product (service marks the source of a service) by association.
The complaint about Drumatrix --- the title of the book anyway --- appears to be completely baseless to me, but I'm a technical guy. (*)
Nevertheless, a diligent search should be done, and it's not hard to do the basics, thanks to the Internet.
Regards,
Dave Clark
(*) I did take an interest in IP, however, far beyond the normal techie, thanks primarily to my previous employer, notorious for their legal actions. Sometimes I helped them, sometimes I navigated the waters and found ways out of their blockades.

On top of that, aplying for a trademark would probably wake up the Roland lawyers guarding Drumatix (which is what happened when we got our EU Fruityloops trademark).DaveClark wrote:Nothing like *drumatri* shows up in a trademark search, but someone should repeat it.
