I saw this software tonight. It was walking alone on the street. Like it had a soul. Said something to me. "Even as the noise," it said.
Then I thought to myself, "something IKMultiMedia coded, is up and walking around my town. Has a body, has a voice, makes a noise, and is on the beach."

Well then Amplitube 3 got up off the floor, and it rolled over
and he looked me straight in the eye
And you know what he said?
"'Once upon a time, somebody say to me'"
(This is the software talkin' now)
"'What is your, conceptual, continuity?'
Well I told 'em right then," Amplitube 3 said,
"It should be easy to see
The crux of the biscuit
is the apostrophe."
Well you know, the man that was talking to the software
looked at the software, and he said
Sort of staring in disbelief
"You can't say that,"
he said,
"It doesn't, and you can't, I won't, and it don't
it hasn't, it isn't, it even ain't, and it shouldn't
it couldn't,"
He told him, "No, no, no"
I told him, "Yes, yes, yes"
I said, "I do it all the time
Ain't this boogie a mess?"
and he looked me straight in the eye
And you know what he said?

Ok... Best to release Amplitube 3 as soon as possible... The wait is apparently having an affect on some fellow KVRers...
Tomorrow would be great.
Thanks.

Go to the user area of ik's site. Check your Account section. You can control which types of email you recieve from ik there.autodafe wrote:I have never gotten any email from Ikmultimedia, and I own all their softwares...

Good idea - checked my settings and all are checked, yet (like autodafe) I haven't received an email yet.surferman wrote:Go to the user area of ik's site. Check your Account section. autodafe - send a PM to Peter-IK Multimedia (see posts in this thread) to get resolved. I'm about to do that myself.

Well, you should be able to test whether or not you can input parameters with the computer keyboard simply by trying on your copy of AT3.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:redshift - I'm aware of those questions and I'll get you definitive answers with more detail than I can provide as soon as I get them. I'm just waiting on some more info. Thanks for your patience.
Just as you could tell if the Ampeg SVX amp interfaces look like the standalone SVX, or the X-GEAR versions.

Yes, but this is not a release candidate copy and if I see something different I need to verify what will be in the release version. Plus, I wanted to answer all at the same time, so that's part of it too - the "remastering" questions were ones I'm getting good airtight answers to so I don't misguide anybody. Thanks!redshift factor wrote:Well, you should be able to test whether or not you can input parameters with the computer keyboard simply by trying on your copy of AT3.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:redshift - I'm aware of those questions and I'll get you definitive answers with more detail than I can provide as soon as I get them. Sorry for the delay on these...
- As stated before about bringing the Fender quality (and beyond) to everything, our modeling technologies improved over the years (and continue to do so) so it was time to apply the DSP engineering improvements to the older models as well. Among the improvements here: better stage matching and calibration, and the substitution of several DSP stages with new DSM™ blocks that were improved over previous versions. Depending on the type of amps, with some models this will be immediately evident from the first note, on some it will be more subtle - but it will be there for sure.
Basically, this will show as:
- better musicality in general
- better playability
- better dynamic response
- better feel
I hope that helps!
Not in 3.0 but we have improved the "fine mode" (shift + click) to be able to dial the knob with much more precision. However, we're looking to include it in the next available update (3.1) that is due in a couple months. Stay tuned about 3.1 since there will be another surprise with it.redshift factor wrote:1) can we use our computer keyboards now to input parameter values numerically in AT3?
- All the previously included speakers have been remodeled using the latest VRM™ technology and remeasured with even higher quality high end mic preamplifiers, A/D converters and other general gear. The new speakers also have been made so they can better take advantage of the interaction with the rest of the amp, much better than before. And something I think a lot of people are wondering:
2) what did the "remastering" process entail?
Did it involve taking new measurements and rebuilding the models from the ground up?
Or was it more of a matter of applying updated saturation algorithms to the existing models?
What I'm wondering is if the AT2/JHE/Metal models will sound more or less the same but more dynamic and responsive, or if some or all will sound drastically different and truly closer to the hardware they are modeling.

I think it's safe to assume you guys didn't revisit the old amps for no audible reason - must've been an immense task.
Looking forward to the release ...
Cheers,
