Thanks, it definitely will vary but that's to be expected because some really were already excellent even for their age and ported over to the new technology won't add as much polish (but the feel/musicality/playability/feel part is definitely a bonus).

Maybe the guys in Italy should have laid back and done a point release and just added stuff like presets for the upcoming Jimi Hendrix album of unreleased material? :-) Speaking of that, I'll have to check what gear was used on that album since it is a "between" sort of thing from what I recall so who knows where he was with gear at that moment in time. I should have asked Eddie Kramer while we were in the coffee line at NAMM. Nice guy. Didn't get to show him T-RackS though ;)

Also, just a nice addition to the site if anybody wants to know - the AmpliTube 3 Pedal was added today... coming soon :) http://www.ikmultimedia.com/amplitube/versions/

But did they go back and make sure each model matched the original hardware at various settings, and tweak accordingly?
Models such as the Dual Rectifier, JCM800 and TubeScreamer come to mind.

Too late? I thought the pre-order prices were the same as the regular prices. Does the 149 EUR upgrade price go up after the release in Feb!?

That's only if you've previously bought AT2, JH and Metal full price. Otherwise (owning at least one of the above) it's 149 EUR to upgrade, which I've understood is both the pre-order and the regular price. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Here's how I understand it (unfortunately in US $ - not sure how it maps to EUR)

Pre-order upgrade price = $199
normal upgrade price = $199
Preorder Coupon for folks who have some (all?) $50 off <- I got this one
Peorder Coupon for folks who own AT2, JH & Metal (no bundles - not sure about crossgrade) - $100 off.

Note that I bought at crossgrade and 1 was received as part of a bundle.

Is it a Hiwatt model? Or perhaps a Boss CE-2? A Rocktron HUSH or MXR SmartGate?

$199 is the upgrade price, upon release and beyond. The $50 coupon is good through February for those with a qualifying Powered By AmpliTube product as mentioned with the coupon clarifications in the thread. That's what lasts through February but beyond that you'll still be able to upgrade - I know, I know, we haven't offered upgrade pricing before so it is confusing :)

Peter, can you use multiple StealthPedals with multiple AmpliTube instances at the same time in the same project?

For example, recording 2 guitarists jamming live in a multitracker, each with their own AmpliTube VST instance, and each with their own StealthPedal - one controlling a wah, the other a UniVibe in their respective stomp chains.

Peter,

Will there be a preorder/upgrade option for the AmpliTube 3 + Pedal package?
