there will be tons of similar devices from other manufacturers this and next year, with much more open and "hack-able" OSes, just wait a few months...this is just an expensive useless toy - "magical web browsing experience"? without flash??? they must be on drugs or something

It doesn't matter though - every tech blog out there will proclaim that Apple "discovered" the tablet PC.

yes, you seem confused. can you name ONE device from that list that is a "pure" tablet??? I mean just a big screen, with an interface completely touch-based? that's what I'm talking about, not convertible tablet-notebooks.Reverse Engineer wrote:do you mean like the tablets that are included in that list? i'm extremely confused now.Goratrix wrote:no, I meant tabletsReverse Engineer wrote:don't you mean last year?Goratrix wrote:there will be tons of similar devices from other manufacturers this and next year...

this discussion is getting really confusing. I wrote that there will be tons of devices THIS YEAR, one of them being the HP Slate, of course. he wrote that there were some LAST YEAR, so I asked which ones? so again, which pure tablets were available last year?TristezaOrange wrote:Erm... did you miss the HP Slate announcement?Goratrix wrote:yes, you seem confused. can you name ONE device from that list that is a "pure" tablet???
