I hope this is a false positive but I'll bring it to your attention any way:
When I dl relife 1.41 Avast! is giving me a trojan/worm alert:
It seems to be detecting it in the Relife mono.dll.
File name: http://www.terrywest.nl/relife141.zip\ReLife 1.41\ReLife_Mono.dll
Malware name: Win32:Bropia-AQ [Worm]
Malware type: Virus/Worm
Hi Pattonfreak1,

I just scanned the files with updated NOD32, Anti Malware and Super Antispyware and noting was found.
Also i do not have MSN and/or Windows Messenger installed.
I think it's a false alert coming from the exe-packer i used for it.
Both stereo & mono versions are packed with the same packer.
Anyway it's clean with all the scans i did here.

Terry.

Hmmm...
I'm getting the same result for Twelve as well. No offense but I'd rather not risk it so I deleted these 2 immediately. All the other stuff I have from you (easyNY, easy bundle, etc.) come up clean... just relife and twelve that are having issues.

Would you please redownload both files again?
I have replaced them and now packed with UPX (as i always did).
Please let me know.

Terry.

Actually, to me the report looks a legitimate file packed with PeSpin (which is just an executable packer; sort of like a runtime-decompressing ZIP if you will, although those are probably more common with malware these days) with those scanners that actually know how to unpack it giving clean results, and the rest flagging as malware on the basis that it's packed.. or something.

What does the parameter 'Preclean' do exactly?

Based on the previous posts, I realise that this is most likely just another false positive, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

Microsoft Security Essentials flagged ReLife_Mono.dll v1.41 with the following information:
Backdoor:Win32/Ursap!rts

Category: Backdoor

Description: This program provides remote access to the computer it is installed on.

Recommendation: Permit this detected item only if you trust the program or the software publisher.

Microsoft Security Essentials detected programs that may compromise your privacy or damage your computer. You can still access the files that these programs use without removing them (not recommended). To access these files, select the 'Allow' action and click 'Apply actions'. ReLife.dll v1.41 was identified as using PESpin v1.32 which seemed to be fine.

I just downloaded ReLife v1.42 and found no problems. MSE identified both .dll files as using UPX.

Did anyone else notice that this plugin inverts the polarity of the signal?
(v1.41)

EDIT: Just downloaded v1.42 and it has been fixed.

Thank You.
Great plugin.

Post

thanks for this plugin, Terry.

We used it for an old song with almost no transients left, we only had the master audiofile anymore.
20 years old recording, needed to be polsished for a Vinyl release of our old stuff.

The Plugin did a great job !
