So let's hope that the iSalesperson in the iStore gives customers "sound advice" thenspaceman wrote:I think you're forgetting about that little fact that no one is forced to buy an iPad. I think your summary (inadvertently perhaps) hits the nail on the head: different people may have different needs, so it's sensible to give them choices rather than dictating a closed system, closed content, and expecting the rest of the world to revolve around you.
What will the iPad do for musicians?

Remember all the 'Vista ready' batches on computer that couldn't actually run Vista for a second?TristezaOrange wrote:spaceman wrote: Most people were lucky to have a computer that booted up, and stayed up.

I do. That doesn't make Vista bad. It makes MS and PC makers assholes.spaceman wrote:Remember all the 'Vista ready' batches on computer that couldn't actually run Vista for a second?TristezaOrange wrote:spaceman wrote: Most people were lucky to have a computer that booted up, and stayed up.

Right.. because for a second I though whyterabbyt was talking about advertising and marketing. It's good to see we can move the subject of the discussion to fit our argumentTristezaOrange wrote:I do. Isn't that exactly what you were doing?spaceman wrote:Let's not start comparing promises, and how well they matched up with reality.
An idiot on Set Theory:

I am not talking about advertising and marketing. I was talking about Flash and then suddenly everything changed!spaceman wrote:Right.. because for a second I though whyterabbyt was talking about advertising and marketing. No, I wasn't. But you can try your usual circular arguments hoping that people will lose track after enough turns and think you were right.whyterabbyt wrote:Isn't that exactly what you were doing?spaceman wrote:It's good to see we can move the subject of the discussion to fit our argument
But if you can give me an example of how I changed the subject to fit my argument, feel free to document it.
I hope you will be so good as to do the same for TristezaOrange and headquest's arguments. Just for comparisons sake and to keep it unbiased.

Where did I ever mentioned promises?

that's because our friend whyterabbit felt obliged all of a suddon to start a bit of Apple bashing. It had nothing to do with our discussion, but there you go.TristezaOrange wrote:I am not talking about advertising and marketing. He's busy now trying to quote me and add enough confusing circular counter arguments to put us in a spin and claim victory.

What argument? I stated facts: lots of people use Flash applications. Flash is still used widely on the web. A device that does not support Flash is not able to display all the dynamic content on the web that other devices/browsers offer.
What's circular about it? Please let me know as soon as you do.

I think you're losing track of the thread. I didn't talk about circular arguments to you.TristezaOrange wrote:What argument? I stated facts: lots of people use Flash applications. Well i don't know if that was what spaceman was doing or not, but i do know that you've been known to employ that tactic on occasion...whyterabbyt wrote:Isn't that exactly what you were doing?spaceman wrote:It's good to see we can move the subject of the discussion to fit our argument
