This piece took me a bit by surprise. Halfway working on something else, a bit of improvisation with a pad sound I was using turned into this.
Was listening to Brian Eno's Music for Airports a week or so ago, and I think it had an impact. If you like that, then this may be worth a listen. If not, then probably not this either.
I'm not great at minimal, and think this probably needs more adding so I'm a bit conflicted, but what I do really like is how many of the notes are almost subliminal in comparison to the swells.. pulling you further in..
Maybe a personal thing.. but this captures a 3am feeling one night for me, so I'm posting it as it is !
Ambient W1
Edit: ps the pad sound is some preset that comes with Live8 (avec le petit tweak)

I don't know Music for Airports, so I used this going the other way--if I like this, maybe I'll like that. And so I'll have to check out Music for Airports.t00nz wrote:Was listening to Brian Eno's Music for Airports a week or so ago, and I think it had an impact. I don't normally go in for the waves crashing on the beach style of ambient, but this has a very sweet pulse to it. I could see drifting off to this being very pleasant.

This is very nice. Very soothing. Very simple but effective. I was thinking of waves crashing on a beach. Keep churning out tunes.
