Same bug here. It's only the generators. Effects change is perfectly displayed. But when I change the sound source of the generator tab from, let's say, Schrader to Loop Sampler, it's not displayed until I switch to another tab and then back.
Strangely, changing from "oscillator" to anything else works. But from "Time Sampler", "Schrader", and "Loop Sampler" to one of the others isn't displayed. The change is there, I can hear it, but it's just not displayed.

Thanks Victor, this i very strange (to me), but I have at least an idea where to look in source code. If any more info is available, let me know, otherwise i get back when I know more!

Phew ... found it , fixed it , uploaded. Actually for some time i didnt understand it, then , when i got it, i wondered a lot why it DID WORK for me before :-D Beta 2 uploaded, please let me know if I smashed the right bug

Yep, it's ok now here :) , but sorry, found some more similar ones:

open the 5.1 panel, move a source in the XY-field - the according values at the left won't update, before you change to another tab.
Vive versa the same - change a value at the left - the source at the right won't update it's position.

also with the xy-fields for Filter 1 and 2 on the Main page and the Filters page: when you move the cross inside the fields the according values won't update and vice versa.

same here, the bug from yesterday is okay now. I also checked what losan described, and same behaviour here, stuff doesn't get updated in the 5.1 panel. Also when you select the coloured numbers on the right, to bring them into the xy-field, they don't show unless I change tabs and go back again.

Cheers

same bug as before, just a different flavor. The point is that we optimized away a not required global redraw, and now all the points where the normal redraw is not correct do pop up. Let me know if you find another one :-D

beta 3 uploaded

Thanks !

Well, the Osc selection and also now the filters are fine,
but the 5.1 mix panel still won't update

Post

Yep, thats another one. Also thanks for the mails I got from others, helps a lot,

beta 4 uploaded.

1000 thanks !

Ok, the 5.1 panel behaves now, like it should.

First I had some issues in Cubase, that the sound was killed, after going through a couple of presets, but at the moment I can't reproduce it anymore.
I'm going to equip my old PC with an Audio Interface lying around, there I've got the latest stable version of CronoX installed, so I'll be able to compare, if soundwise has something changed.
Will let you know, if I stumble about anything wrong.

Thanks, and Cheers

No no ... Thank You ! You are helping me :)

If ever the sound vanishes, it could be and effects issue, so in that case, switching off the effects units and see if sound comes back will help me a lot, usually this was it can be tracked to a particular unit.

Well, not so good news...

Been playing today some more with CronoX on my 64bit system inside Cubase.
3 trials with CronoXStereo inside Cubase 32bit:
This time CronoX crashed Cubase (no response) - I had to kill Cubase via the taskmanager. First time after going through around 20 presets, the next times after some 50 - 70 presets. I tried both selecting the patches via CronoX's arrows as also with the dropdown menu of Cubase - makes no difference.

Then I tried CronoXStereo (64bit) inside Cubase 64bit.
First time the sound of CronoX get killed - switching off/on effects didn't help - closing the plugin and reloading brought up the sound output again.
2nd time CronoX crashed Cubase hard, I closed Cubase via the appearing Windows Error Message ('Close program'), but afterwards my system didn't respond anymore, and I heard a continous 'bubbling' sound from my soundcard.
This time I had to push the reset button of the PC (Reboot).

In all cases these issues happened in the moment, then switching to another preset.

Haven't seen an answer to this anywhere...is there an upgrade path for registered Sophistry owners?

Post

Thanks losan, I can reproduce this, and its not that easy to fix, but glad you found it!

mmichalski59: you can just download the CronoX 3.6 and use it with your sophistry sounds,
no fee, no anything.
