can someone help me with rhino GUI colors ?
i know there is a file, 'colors.txt'.
i was thinking to do a screen capture of the rhino GUI, load it into a paint program, and adjust the colors to my taste. that is the easy part. Now, having done that, how do i (easily) get those new colors into 'colors.txt' ?
what are those numbers, anyway. R,G,B? if so, what is the forth one? and what is the range; is it (0,255) or (0,999).
need help with colors.txt

The colors.txt file should be self-explanatory as for which color does what. The 4th number is unused and should be zero.

Open any picture with Paint program then click on Edit colors in Colors menu --> Define custom colors.
Now if you click anywhere inside the big color field you'll see the numbers changing accordingly.
Thanks for the soundbank - some really usefull patches out there.

hey thanks.
what do you mean by paint program; is that a generic reference, or is there a program called 'paint'?
basically, i want to go in the other direction (backwards -- i want to tweak a screen grab of the rhino face, then find an easy way to parse that into 'color.txt' format.

Yes it's the name of a program that installs automatically with any Windows version.
Rightclick on image file -> Open with... -> choose program -> Paint.
As any graphic program it has access to Windows tool where you can define your custom colors, visually or as numbers.
Otherwise I'm totally ignorant with anything graphic... hope someone with some knowlege will help more.
