Its that time again folks, for you to cast your votes the best Rogue only track.

See thread... http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

The response to this comp has been superb with 19 tracks submitted!
.... so we will once again go for a multi-vote system.

You can award points to 5 tracks in allocations of 10, 5, 3, 2 and 1.
So that's 10 points to your favourite, 5 points to second fave, 3 for third... etc
When you have decided on your votes, post in this thread. Please submit all your votes in a single post in a clear manner.....
...something like,

Track title - 10
Track title - 5
Track title - 3
Track title - 2
Track title - 1

Please listen to all the tracks before casting a vote ... I know it takes a while, but its the only fair way to do things ...

So here's how!
@@Go to the online folder ....

http://onesynthcomp.4shared.com/

Here you can listen to individual tracks, and read accompanying notes re. what what was used in their making. You can download individual tracks as you wish.

Alternatively, from the same link/folder, you can also download the zipped folder '00 - Rogue Tracks'
This will be a lot quicker than downloading individual tracks, You will then have all the tracks in one place to at your leisure, .... think about it as your free album .... a gift in exchange for making a contribution to the comp! :)

You can also access the tracks via a playlist here ....
http://www.4shared.com/play/30138305/35 ... list1.html

( **** note **** if you experience difficulty accessing the above files, dont give up, try a different browser ... IE seems to work better than some browsers. )

Reviews, however brief, are always welcome, but even if you can only find the time to add a short comment, then please do! ...it keeps the thread alive, and encourages others to listen/vote. I will do a review when I can grab a bit of time to do the job justice.

**Closing date for votes will be the 17th of February**

....Enjoy the music!

Note .... I will tally the votes and post updates as the votes come in.... and I'm sure there will be the usual willingness to correct me if I get anything wrong :hihi:

Just wanted to ask your opinion guys, do you find voting for yourself as unfair as I am? I'm sure it was discussed somewhere, but I can't be arsed to read all those OSC posts from the dusty past.

Had a similar discussion in the Zebra Patch Contest. I thought it was obvious enough not to need to have it written into the rules. I was wrong!

Don't think anybody did this the last comp? I would have thought it was too obvious to write down.

Anyway, the thing to do if you really want to up your tally is have a pal with an account (or your old double) do some tactical voting for you.. ;)

How would you even begin thinking about such a scheme unless? Hmmm... a bit suspicious if you ask me :hihi: [/joke]

In the ZPC comps we actually had someone (maybe two people, I can't remember) voting for their own submissions. When asked about it they were quite unashamed, kind of 'But, of course, I thought my entry was the best'! After some discussion we decided it was a case of cultural differences - they were German.

I definitely against such a practice. Won't bother anyone to create an account just for voting too. (meanwhile agitating my hometown to vote) :-D

If the prizes were really pricey, irregularities might become more of an issue, but doubt it happening now.

Ach, ze Germans.. :hihi:

Theres nothing in the rules which prevents you voting for yourself .... but given the transparency of the system, it would be counterproductive I reckon ..... I would suspect that if I were to vote for my own track, other voters would be a little less, shall we say, sympathetic towards my ambitions :hihi:

Ok My votes are in

AbstractCats 10

AbstractCats 5

AbstractCats 3

AbstractCats 2

AbstractCats 1

:hihi: :hihi:

abstractcats, there's a slight problem with your votes .... you have voted for abstractcats 5 times .. but abstractcats has only two tracks submitted.
Could you please specify the name of the tracks you are allocating those votes to and restrict your points allocations to one per track so it will be easier for me to write up accurately?
Thanks..

Hey, if we all do that, abstractcats will end up in last place cos he has two tracks to split the vote between :hihi:

Anyway ... got an answer from 4shared re the playlist prob ... not the answer I was hoping for, but enough to bring about a solution. Playlist will be up soon, I'll post it when its done, and also edit the OP. :)

Ok, here we go ....

http://www.4shared.com/play/30138305/35 ... list1.html

It would appear that 4shared doesn't like adding a playlist for folders with mixed file types, at least that was the jist of my response from cust.service.... but, I've discovered that A folder can have a playlist as long as there is at least 1 mp3 in it ... if that mp3 is the first item added to the folder .... so thats good to know! I might even tell 4shared about it! :hihi:
