did you install a midi loopback device, like it tells you to on the BCR performer page?

do you mean in reference to:

'The MIDI goes from Live's Remote Output to the application on a virtual MIDI Driver. The application sends MIDI back to Live's remote input over a different virtual MIDI port.'

I'ver installed midi ox to send the systex files to the bcr - but i'm not sure what you mean by midi loop back device?

jebus. was it too hard to read more than one line?
The MIDI goes from Live's Remote Output to the application on a virtual MIDI Driver. The application sends MIDI back to Live's remote input over a different virtual MIDI port.

On OSX there are plenty of virtual MIDI drivers available for this. On Windows, you will be required to use an application such as MIDI Yoke.

I can see it coming... no, this doesn't work on x64 8-)
If you're using a 64-bit operating system, check out loopbe1 instead.

there are a couple of alternatives, should one put in the effort of typing 'midi loopback device' into google.

o ok so you mean in the example in the installtion note max for runtime IS the midi loop back device in osx whereas in windows i'll have to select and input output port in midi yoke correct?

also the jitter log said that the presets had failed to load - anyone experienced that?

Post

yeah to install the presets on Win XP i had to use midi ox to send the sysex. The behringer applet for editing patches is useless, i think it uses an older version of jarva -or whatever, it wont send sysex anymore use another alternative.
