Hola
First, thank you for this magnificent piece of coding - so far it (1.18) seems to mop the floor with SONAR's bitbridge 2.0. I have had one little hiccup though: I bridged Brainworx' Digital EQ in SONAR 8.5.2 and am seeing a strange phenomena where as I turn one of the knobs (via moving the mouse up/down), the parameter will make occasional jumps in value. This glitch manifests in both the displayed numerical value of the parameter as well as the knob graphic. I switched the plugin back to bitbridge and it didn't happen anymore. I also tried the same thing with a jbridged UAD Neve 1073 plugin and didn't see the problem, so I guess its just certain plugins (or maybe JUST the BX EQ). Are you familiar with this problem or know how I might approach it? Just so cover all the bases, this is 64-bit SONAR 8.5.2 running under Windows 7 64-bit, and I am running the plugin with NONE of the options boxes checked.
I apologize if this has been covered in a previous post, but that is 27 PAGES to scan at this point. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Hello.
Does it make any difference if you enable the "sluggish GUI hack" option?

I have a problem with presets in jbridged synths, for example Rob Papen Blue, and Korg Legacy. When I change the preset from inside the main GUI of the synth, the change does not go into Cubase's preset screen. Because of this, if I change the preset like this, and then save the project, when I load it again, the patch I was using is not loaded, but the default preset.
If I change it from the Cubase preset screen, it works, BUT if there are multiple banks in the synth, if I change the bank, the list in Cubase is not updated, the first bank list stays there, and again the selected preset is lost after a reload of the project.
Any way to fix this? Unbridged it works, but the Rob Papen synths don't work at all with the Cubase vstbridge, so no joy there.

Hi.
This has been reported with another plugin as well, but the problem is that I still haven't been able to find a demo ( or a free plugin ) that can reproduce the issue here ( for the demos, I would need them to allow me to save and reload a project in order to investigate this ).

[Copied over from Instruments forum:]
Hello all, I'm unable to use Mtron Pro under Cubase 5 Studio 64bit (I'm running windows 7). Geforce say that they're working on a 64bit build and that other users report success via JBridge. Unfortunately this is not working for me (i.e. JBridge). Any experiences or tips?

Hello.
Does it show any error message?
Also, any symptom resembling the ones mentioned in the troubleshooting section?

Is there a way, in SONAR 8.5.2, to tell it I just want to use jbridge for everything? Changing the properties of each plugin separately is gonna take a LOT of time.

I think you can perform something like "batch export of Jbridges" (sorryRockscientist wrote:Is there a way, in SONAR 8.5.2, to tell it I just want to use jbridge for everything? Changing the properties of each plugin separately is gonna take a LOT of time.
BTW, I have just posted this in another thread:
What I do to overcome 32 systems' limitation of 2 GB RAM per process is using Jbridge with all my sample-based instruments (Omnisphere, Kontakt, Battery, Play...).
This way, each one is a separated process and can access 2 GB of RAM. Now I can see 3,5 GB of RAM used in Windows' process manager for the first time, no need of the 3GB switch.
The only small downside is that I have to use a slightly higher buffer size (a little more latency, thus) to avoid glitches while moving knobs within the plugins' GUIs. Nothing serious for me.

Thanks standalone, but SONAR added built-in jbridge support in version 8.5, which means you don't have to create that folder full of jbridge versions of your plugins anymore. It has a checkbox integrated into its plugin manager that says "use jbridge to open this plugin" (or something), but you have to open a dialog box and check this box for EACH individual plug you want jbridge to run. I am wondering if there is a single "open all 32-bit plugins using jbridge" option in SONAR (or somewhere else).

Hi.
I'm afraid there isn't, you'll need to set it per plugin.
