corrupt session file

Just spent a while creating a session of the song "see you - Depeche Mode" with 7 racks with zebra2 in. I made a change to it last night, added drums in emux2. When i opened it today I get errors
The following errors ocurred while loading the session
VST Plugin - Zebra2 - Insufficient memory, or corrupt file
VST Plugin - Zebra2 - Insufficient memory, or corrupt file
VST Plugin - Zebra2 - Insufficient memory, or corrupt file
VST Plugin - Zebra2 - Insufficient memory, or corrupt file
VST Plugin - Zebra2 - Insufficient memory, or corrupt file
VST Plugin - Zebra2 - Insufficient memory, or corrupt file
and only one zebra2 has loaded properly with the preset loaded, the others just say failed where the preset would be says failed. It looks like the zebras have loaded but when you click on the plugin name nothing happens. only the one that loaded properly opens.
My suspicions are that my work is gone, never to return. unfortunatly I never saved each preset I made, I was going to do it but put it on the long finger. tut tut . Learn my mistakes. unless anyone knows of a way to retrieve them.

Maybe it has nothing to do with your problem, but maybe changing multiprocessor support in "setup" - "audio engine options" to compatibility mode or to disabled changes anything?

Sorry to hear about this, and quite probably the work is gone, but I'm concerned about what caused it. This is the first report ever of a corrupt Cantabile session file.billcar2004 wrote: My suspicions are that my work is gone, never to return. unfortunatly I never saved each preset I made, I was going to do it but put it on the long finger. tut tut . If you'd like to email me the file I can have a look - unlikely I can salvage it but I'd like to check it out anyway.

Thanks guys
Tiuser, that didn't work but thanks anyway. Other sessions with zebra in them load with no problems.
Hi Brad, First time this happened to me. Cantabile is very stable for me. I will send the file to you tommorrow. I found a slightly older version of the session I had moved to my laptop so it's ok that if cant be recovered. My prayers last night worked.

This just came to my mind because you told you've instantiated Zebra multiple times. However I didn't seriously expect Zebra to have such issues as it's a really advanced and well made piece of software.billcar2004 wrote:Thanks guys

Lately I had an old session file myself where some subsession transitions seemed not to work proprer in any details and the related subsession state could not be reassigned/saved again to fix this. But that wasn't something I seriously worked on and I had no trace either how old it really was and through how many changes experimenting with it it had gone through...

Could this have been the fault fixed in last build where some plugins with "Entire Bank" sub-session behaviour weren't get saved/restored correctly?TiUser wrote: Lately I had an old session file myself where some subsession transitions seemed not to work proprer in any details and the related subsession state could not be reassigned/saved again to fix this. Hi Bill,
I've had a look a this, and as expected there's nothing I can do to recover this. It looks to me like some sort of memory corruption at the time the session was saved - the bank for each of those plugins had a recorded size of something like nearly 4gb each (hrm, don't think that's right).
Sorry can't be of more help.
(btw: If you're interested in looking into this sort of thing yourself, you can rename the cantabile session file to <whatever>.zip and open it in your favorite zip utility. You'll see the saved state of plugin as a FXB file within the zip. contents.ini will describe the rest of the session.)
