Hi, me again.
Like title says, wanting an audio signal to open/close the gate. Playing a guitar through an oscillator and would like a gate to open and close a vca when it is being played or not. I split the audio signal, one to the oscillator and the other to the voice control's input, and have tried putting the voice control plug on different types of tracks, have tried making the audio signal super hot, and so far it doesn't seem to be working. Should it be, or is there a way to do this? The manual says the VC gate is dependent on midi so maybe not, but is there some other method in the silent way suite?
Is there a way for an audio signal to control vc gate?

Silent Way doesn't have a specific function to support this.
Do you have a side-chainable noise gate plug-in handy? You could feed a DC signal from Silent Way DC into the gate, using the guitar signal as the trigger via a sidechain.
