Why no JP 8000 Emulation?

JP8000?? HaHa.. I found it.. when I came at Kvr forum. don't you know it? That was my first problem at Kvr
I think Sawer is it.. Not perfect JP8000. Not modeled JP8000. But I think most close. at least can use it instead JP8000

Well I was going to suggest a Roland V-Synth but if you want a softsynth you don't need to pay the 1000 bucks. It is only a VA remember so software emulation is possible even if not perfect in some people's opinions yet. I guess VAZ Modular is probably pretty close.ferdik wrote:True!yellowfever wrote:btw, if you would gladly spend 1000 euros, why not buy a 2nd hand JP8000 or 8080 for half of that and be done with it? And you can travel and have all your synths in the computer. And so on.

Here's 1 for £10. I got it and it does a very reasonable impression.

Very soon actually. Maybe by the end of the week. Too bad it won't (and can't for legal reasons) look like adamtrance's beautiful GUI.

The Supersaw is a special waveform originally created by Roland for their JP-8000 and JP-8080 line of analog modeling synthesizers. The idea behind the Supersaw is to emulate the sound of more than one sawtooth oscillator using just one oscillator. The waveform is described as a freerun oscillator and its shape is produced from 7 sawtooth oscillators detuned against each other over a period of time.
Edit: The golden 7 detuned saw's
and google is my friend:)

Super Saw?
I can recall GTG synth.. and reaktor's Sum Synth (one OSC, I guess Super saw)
but, GTG's JP1 & Unit 1 Synth are good.
and Kriminal's Oktagon are Super Saw too.

The basic saw or square is not a problem. It's the Supersaw (it is explained what it is higer up in this thread) Even Access failed in my opinion with their replica Hypersaw. The best would be if Roland released or co-released a software. JP8000 is pure digital so it won't be any big trouble.yobare wrote:post some saw from JP8000 a basic saw or square. And il try make u a JP8000 emulator. Just make some saws and stuff so i hear how it sound like.
actually would be nice with all the waveforms so i can make sumthing very close to the sound.
Also need to know how it works. Like what the lfo controlls and what matrix it use. and so on. like info
