try'ed downloading t-racks demo to see if it will work in pro tools 8.0.3 under windows 7 64bit but for some reason pt8 will not load it on start up . on there site they say that t-racks will work with win 7 . so , is it that it will work with vst and not rtas ?

T-racks isnt 64 bit so you may have trouble :

But there may be a shot at getting it to work, perhaps our support staff has had this reported by others so I'd suggest that you please log on to your User Area on the IK site and submit a support ticket. They will be a lot more definitive about how to get this working if possible. Thanks!

ummm....you would think since 64bit has been around for some years now , thing's would move that way faster...and now since win 7 64bit is now gaining ground very fast ...it would only make since to go that way .

Though one thing to ask is how PT is running since last I checked they did not have a native 64-bit version either? There are many discussions on the 64-bit issue in general and we are following the major hosts and going with their progress - that's the condensed version.

chances are it's a pt issue, as they still need to tighten up their win 7 x86 compatibility, never mind running within win 7 x64. i haven't heard of other hosts having issues (any via the bridges for x64 hosts?).

although, no offense, but ik has enough vsti and heavy vsts like tRacks standalone, that there's really no excuse for not having x64 versions of some of their software. let's hope that at least sampletank and the rest of the vsti line will be x64 by the end of the year or the start of next year. hoping, not demanding.

OK..will , try ed it under wavelab (vst)and and no problem . so , yeah i i think it is a pt issue ...yes , i do think saw on a forum that pt is not x64 yet so it's something there ...what i find strange is that x86 stuff(some) will run on a x64
