Drum Masters 1 users. If you own any of the following kits they will be updated very soon (for free) with new patches to add (super fast to download and easy to install):

JB Stereo Sonr Drum Kit for the Infinite Player

JB Session Multitrack Sonr Drum Kit for the Infinite Player

Nick D Virgilio Multitrack GRTSCH Drum Kit for the Infinite Player

NDV Multitrack Mapex Kit Blastick for the Infinite Player

NDV Multitrack Premr Drum Kit for the Infinite Player

John Blackwell Stereo Tama Brush Kit for the Infinite Player

John Blackwell Stereo Tama Stick Kit for the Infinite Player

Nick D Virgilio Stereo Mapex Drum Kit BLASTIX for the Infinite Player

NDV Stereo Grtsch Kit for the Infinite Player

---------------------

The rest of them will be updated to DM2 features by the end of the month or in February at the latest... but we're shooting for THIS month and as soon as possible.

The update patches will AUTOMATICALLY show in your member's area of esoundz or downloadablesoundz (wherever they were purchased) and you just drag and drop the zip of new patches (light download) right onto the latest Infinite Library Installer (which can be gotten on the DOWNLOAD page of http://www.sonicreality.com - if you're registered there which takes 2 minutes).

If you want I will let you know when they are available although a newsletter will also be sent out to all Drum Masters 1 users about that soon. Technically Drum Masters 2 hasn't even been officially announced with a press release! This is just inside info for our current core of users.

Now aren't you glad you bought Drum Masters? Who doesn't like FREE upgrades with features like this?

- Advanced Round Robin with control of each articulation and alt
- Built-in effects like EQ, Compression and more
- Imap, GM, Performance, V-Drum and Custom Map mode with midi learn
- Cool new graphic interface
- New controls for dynamic pitch and amp
- New "STm" stereo kit piece with multichannel output mixing for the best of both worlds (Easy mixing but ready to go album quality kit sounds)
- New discrete mixing per kit piece for Multitrack kits
- It makes you breakfast (okay that is not a real feature but it is in future plans for the product line and will also be a free upgrade! ;) ).

It's almost time to party.

Any news on this? I just checked my Esoundz user area but didn't find any updates for Drum Masters Gold. By the way, are there any updates planned for OWD DL edition (round robin etc.)?

in the USD GB thread, on 14 January, Squids wrote:Good news on the coupons though and the free hard drive for EpiK DrumS. That is being extended through the end of February and also the Drum Masters 2 titles are going on pre-order within a week's time - maybe even tomorrow or Friday. Availability of those (and the free DM2 patch update for DM1 users) is set to be first week of February

It was supposed to happen but 100 things got in the way between the GB and NAMM so it will have to happen afterward.

OK thanks, I'll try to wait patiently.

We're trying to figure out the best options now and should have them available for pre-order this coming week so you can secure a good deal on it. Over the next 2-3 weeks various kits will become available both for DM1 users to get a free update with new patches as well as new previously unreleased material.

There's also some special stuff for people that were in the Group Buy. This is the last week for anyone to be able to buy that Ultimate Studio Drums Bundle deal with the extras and everything.

Hi Squids,
you mentioned the 'other dm1 kits' will be updated to dm2 features. Does this include the NDV Roto Timbales kit? I just bought it this evening and I really miss the choice of 'custom' in the mapping tab. I'm new to kontakt/infinite player, so maybe there is another way to remap the rotos and timbales, but I really don't know how.

Also, thank you immensely for this group buy - by far the best drum purchase I've made software or hardware!

How about people who bought MT Kits a la carte or in "that other" GB that was happening somewhere in 2009? Are these updates going to be Kit specific?

(I'll probably upgrade to DM2 with the GBs coupon anyhow...)

Yeah, we're not going to leave any DM1 user out. No messing around. If you own ANY DM1 kit we're going to get you the DM2 patch versions when they are available which is getting closer and closer (Stereo kits coming first which are now STm kits, the MT kits next). But the upgrades will be sweet as well for the new content and we hope people will support the series anyway. Kind of a two way cool thing we're going for. Free update, inexpensive upgrades for new content... good feeling that you invested in something that increases in value either way.

Really looking forward to this! I bought into the latest group buy, but my two most used kits are still the Ed Greene and Danny G MT DM1 kits. So much character. They also both respond to unusual treatments well.

Thanks again for your outstanding support.

Squids, any news on this?

Post

Maybe sometime after the OWD 2 Group Buy.

Post

First the patches that have been going through tweaks and improvements need to be finalized. Then we can do the update. It's not an OWD 2 Group Buy but a Drum Masters 2 Group Buy that will start today or tomorrow and that will have the rest of the STm kits from the series plus more all for a great deal. We're also going to have a "what did I miss?" bundle for Drum Masters 1 Silver/Gold/Platinum users who want to pay for the extra samples and impulse responses that they don't get in the free patch updates that are coming.

Everything just has to happen in the right order is all. But, in any case, we should have Drum Masters 2 free update patches for Drum Masters 1 users available before the end of this month. We will probably start with the Stereo kits updating to STm Drum Masters 2 kits.

Ace. Thanks!
