The concept of 'universal midi' does'nt seem so universal You use FL? well FL's midi loops don't match up in Ableton Live. Your using Live's Drum rack??? the drum racks loops don't match up in addictive drums...and vice versa.

It seems that some of the best drum samples seem to be locked inside loops; unlocking them means cutting through precious transient material...and we know cutting causing bleeding. (forgive the pun).

Melodyne's got it all wrong. Incorporate the frequency-specific polyphonic algorithms into a tool used to conduct surgery on drum loops.

LoL, yah Im just venting. Usually I bitch about my issues with my girlfriend...but if I said what I said here...she'd probably leave me ; )
