Just a quick heads-up to confirm that these impactsoundworks guys are a real class act.
Having just bought Shreddage, I had to restart downloading of pt.2 too many times due to an iffy connection and the download link expired after five tries. I emailed support and in less than an hour, Andrew mailed the fixed link to me!
Very much appreciated and sure builds confidence for the future.
Kudos, guys!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I'm told that Kontakt Player will load 3rd party libraries like ours, but only for a short time. So, we don't recommend using it. Ideally you should use the full version of Kontakt 2, 3 or 4.GMusic wrote:will this work with kontakt player?

To all; it just so happens that Audiomidi is selling Amplitube 2 Live for only $15, which compliments this collection perfectly! If you don't have any solid amp sims, check this out.

I purchased this prior to the circulation of the special 10% survey reduction price. I'll keep my coupon for another time. ISW are creating products that are useful to me.
I own Licenses for an obscene amount of guitar software. I mean, I own a Gibson but I get more mileage out of these Kontakt Instruments etc, that I do out of the hardware.
I'm delighted with this set thus far. It is a great addition to my collection. I'll be using this immediately.
Thanks Andrew and Co.

Hmm but I've got the kontakt player from steven slate drums, and it has never exited or stopped working after ___ time. it loads other libraries too I believe (loaded the free kontakt one), not just Steven Slate's. so maybe I should give it a try.zircon wrote:I'm told that Kontakt Player will load 3rd party libraries like ours, but only for a short time. do you have any demo for this? maybe like 1 riff/sample demo just to try this out?
thanks

Unfortunately, that won't work. The Kontakt player will only play "Powered by Kontakt" libraries (this includes Slate drums, the free Kontakt library, etc.) without a time limit. For third party libraries like this (and many, many others) it will time out after 30 minutes (I believe!).GMusic wrote:Hmm but I've got the kontakt player from steven slate drums, and it has never exited or stopped working after ___ time. it loads other libraries too I believe (loaded the free kontakt one), not just Steven Slate's. so maybe I should give it a try.
However, since you do own a "Powered by Kontakt" instrument (Slate drums), you would qualify for the Kontakt crossgrade (which is quite a bit cheaper than the full version!). Or, you can watch for someone on here selling a used version of Kontakt (they appear quite often), or you can put up a request in the marketplace looking for one!
Hope this helps!
Terry.

Hey guys,
Ok I downloaded and loaded a few presets and really like what I am hearing. It is perfect for what I am doing.. Really like the powerchords and how when you switch from chord to chord it has a mute or whatever it is called like a real guitarist would do
) The ONLY thing I noticed and I am sure it was me, was a couple of times I noticed the powerchord would cutt off early or what I thought was early.. But again I have only just messed with it and have not spent ANY time learning what it can do
) So I give it a A+.. Great Job

GMusic: tman2k summed up the issues with the Kontakt Player (thank you!)
Tom: You can adjust the decay / release times of each patch right on the interface using the appropriately titled knobs. We picked middle-of-the-road default values which of course you can tweak to your liking for any given project.

Highly unlikely since Directwave imports only sample mappings from Kontakt files. Also, the edge of shreddage relies in it's custom scripting, which unfortunately Directwave lacks.GMusic wrote:Hey zircon, I know you're an FL Studio user. Does Shreddage work with Directwave? I know DW can load some kontakt .nki files. Does it work with this?

Funny you should mention DW as we were looking to try and port to that platform next. Yes, the custom script controls for attack, decay, release and EQ will be gone. However, DW *does* support round robin functionality and velocity switching which in theory should be all we need. We're going to give the conversion and shot and see what happens.

This sounds enticing if I ever get back into music production. Good luck with it.
