Hi!

K-v-R is a great community and forum for VSTi and patches but I haven’t found something similar that is more sample oriented. Maybe there is a need for that kind of community? Sample CD and download reviews. VSTi with sampling content... you know..

There are a lot of products coming out all the time but no dedicated ´news site and forum to discuss sampling that I think is alive and kicking.

One scenario is; K-v-R will grow and also include sample CD reviews and News about sampling CD´s and services but I think VSTi may be enough to cover...

I believe in focusing and that is maybe the reason for the success of K-v-R?

Somebody out there who think there is need for a sampling community / news site like K-v-R?

The internet is swamped in sample sites and forums with samples as the basis, however there is always room for more and I don’t mind to have news submitted at my site about sample based cd’s and tools from original content providers.

Oh, you mean NorthernSounds.com? HUGE board for sampling.

I used to post questions at NorthernSounds.com but the answer was always a bunch of sample developers replying "Buy mine. Buy mine." After a while I gave up on the site. Maybe it has changed. It has been almost a year since I posted there.

All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

It has changed radically.

Now besides the developers themselves, their media-gnomes are there. And you'll get a ton of "So you don't know that? bah", "Your question suck", "You suck" and "All here sucks". All packed in a nicely censored environment.

Anyways, nice forum, many nice guys and a ton of great composers there.

I know NorthernSounds.com…

I want a forum that has discussions covering both loops and multisamples and a serious news section covering all new releases. And reviews of releases. (There is no news or reviews at nothernsounds)

I know all "sampling" sites that are on the Net already (I think…) and there is not a site (community / forum) big enough and good enough as K-v-R in that genre.

Samplepoolz is close but I think that they don’t have that much traffic and discussions in their forum.. (Too much German language ;))

Is there a site that covers anything musical as well as KvR? Not that I can find.

If that ain't the understatement of the year, I don't know what is! ;) It's HORRIBLE over there. Almost makes cubase.net forums seem tame some days. It's like 14 year old boys comparing dick size, and I've pretty much given up reading those threads.

The Internet needs a BIG focused site covering sampling that’s my point. I would be hard work to make it as well as K-v-R done for VST-Instruments but if someone would try...I think it would be successful

best regards.
