I'm not sure what a SUN dress is, but I trust your judgement, just make it emerald green, I find that very sexy
 :hihi:
(yes, I remember green is the color of Ireland, but please let's be a bit flexible here, we've got a eurovision show to put together and we can't get lost into too many details)
Yeah! green works. I had an ex who had a mint green dress and she looked very hot in it.... a male friend had a bright red wig once :hihi: :hihi:

eurovision is something I've been hearing about for a few months now, hmm, I guess its a big concert with many electronic bands? We had the Lollapalooza here in the US for a while in the 90's but that was mostly "alt rock" bands with a few 70s/80s/90s goth, punk and new wave bands in the mix, never made it to one my self. I did see Philip Glass here in 1988, that was a very good show.

He I wish, but it is in fact the mother of all amateur song competitions, loved by women of all sexes, with newly hightened status as a result of all the others like idol, xfactor etc. Although I'm straight, I'm not ashamed to say I'm bit of a fan as there's always a gem or two and who doesn't like a music competition/festival (apart from bad losers Italy and Austria who never got votes and quit for good.. ) (Sorry Mac.. :))

And cheers for the vote Blitz :)

Now that's a statement I'd like to drink for! :D

And there's always all that crap that I can still hear pouring out of peoples mobiles (gawd I HATE that fairytale dude)

Agree there's a lot of awfulness in ESC and that the 'fairytale dude' ;) is somewhat annoying, but must still give him kudos for writing his own winning song and at that age, not a bad feat really.

Yay!! the OSC12 participants prize is finished!! ...hope you like it ... when you get it ..... still got to run some tests, but its promising! :)

Yeah, I guess we're nowhere near his "popularity", but he'd suck a big time at OSC instead :D

Post

Indeed, it sounds to me like there is some very big music being made on these 'little' OSC threads.

Post

I must say, V'ger, that what you wrote about the Eurosong contest makes me think it's changed a lot in the past few years... While it definitely was the competition of kitsch, it wasn't a thing for women, but for people of all ages regardless of gender. It wasn't an amateurs' show, either: lots of great professionals took part in it along the years.
Has it been getting that bad recently? :? It's a pity...

Post

Well I'm no expert and especially of the early days, but apart from ABBA and Secret Garden it was usually a career ending move to be seen in Eurovision by established professionals last 40 years, wasn't it. Lately this seems to have changed with writers like Lloyd Webber joining willingly.

About the women I said 'women of all sexes' ;), meaning it was (and still is) much of a gay festival..

Post

I dunno, it's the gay bit I don't get... it's just not my impression :?
Same with the career ending thing... at least, if I think of all the Italian partecipants I can remember, they were far from the end of their careers. But all this may have to do with the different perception that different countries have of the same thing, I guess  And again, it's been years since I last saw it, so it may have changed a lot.

What makes you doubt? :-)

Hi folks, just popping in to say I'm still alive, and will get on the case when I've had some kip :hihi:

Seems I missed out on an interesting OSC v's One Producer thread ... maybe it was good to let it roll without my input, I'll see where its at tomorrow :)

Keep those votes coming, 4 days to go!! :)
