Just a couple of things. Pay attention to a transfer curve of your compressors. In many cases it is 'broken' in a middle. Simply, open them in VST Plug-in Analyser (VST Plug-in/Measurement/Dynamics/Static Characteristic) and you will see what I mean. Apparently, it is happening at the threshold point.

Also, some of your compressors don't compress if incoming signal goes over 0dBFS. I'm talking about the transfer function again. You can easily see it on mentioned above analyzer.

So, can somebody please explain why SM gets a bad rap? What about it makes it undesirable as far as making plugins? thanks..

For me, many take a long time to load. Admittedly, long time might be 15 seconds, but that can become tiresome after a while.

I should probably see this for myself. What am I looking for? Just a space in the curve?

It's clearly having an issue, but I don't know what to make of it.
