It's more like there's no rules after there are rules. Or there are rules and there aren't rules. Or something like that. :)

Or I could exchange either some artistic integrity or emotional connection if you prefer a trade.

Please PM any serious offers, thanks! :)
Funny how you become fixated on certain things, like they're shiny objects.
Don't toy with me, man! Either sell me the m-f-ing rules (and throw in a copy of the rules of buying jam) or GTFO of my thread. :x
Maybe it's the word "rules" you're having problems with. Let's call them something else -- best practices. See if you can buy those.
:)
nah, i think the problem is i should have posted this in Market Place. just a bunch of slack-jawed gawkers here in this forum, no serious sellers to be found. :(
I guess rules are like music. No inherent monetary value anymore.

Too late. Meffy already wrote:sed -i 's/rule/practice/g' thisThread
Yes, I remember this one, and how I was pondering what it might actually mean. How about haiku instead.

depends... i've actually made more money from releasing my CD for free (donation optional) than i have on the tracks i contributed to 2 compilations by a known artist in Europe on a "real" label.

Amazing how you managed to find so much meaning in that small line of characters. Incorrect interpretation, of course, but nice effort. Fictional haiku, I think.

those are merely suggestions. i want rules, dammit. i want order and the threat of authority to keep me in line. then it will be super sweet when i bend or break teh rules.

Actually, I'm thinking I like haiku better.

@eduardo: It's a command line invoking "sed", a *nix stream editor. It goes through "thisThread" and globally replaces all occurrences of the string "rule" with "practice". Or it would if thisThread were a text file instead of a thread on KVR.

"sed -i 's/rule/practice/g' thisThread"

Obviously Deb's haiku refer to sed's predecessor, "ed", a line editing program.
