Final changes:

* Plugin name change to "uMAX Compressor".
* Fixed samplerate bugs.
* Corrected ratio design.
* Fastest attack time change to 0.01 ms.

All functions:

* Threshold from 0dB to -50dB.
* Ratio from 1:1 to 3000:1.
* Knee from 0dB to 36dB.
* Range from 0dB to 60dB.
* Attack time from 0.01ms to 300ms.
* hold time from 0ms to 1000ms.
* Release time from 50ms to 9999ms.
* Smooth ratio from 0% to 100%.
* Dry/Wet Mix from 0% to 100%.
* Output Gain From -25dB to +25dB.

This compressor looks very interesting!

Does any experienced compressor users know how this compares to any of these:-

Stillwell - Rocket
DDMF - NY Compressor
Antress - any of his other compressors
Bootsie - Density mkII

To me its more along the lines of Density. Doesn't add the character that Density does but it does have a lot of flexibility and sounds really smooth and transparent. The range, hold, knee and mix controls make this FREE compressor standout on its own IMHO. Still have more testing to do but I liked it on the master buss in a quick 5 minute test I did on a sparse mix. Great job once again Antress!

...i wouldn't say this is a "transparent" compressor at all, i say this in a good sense....it imparts a sort of "density" to the processed sound, i think it's attributable to the particular envelope of the release curve that, to my ears, is different from any others compressor i have, like blockfish,density,density MKI,Reacomp...the release behaviour reminds me a little the sound of the Waves API 2500, even if this last one (that is THE compressor i love) has that unique release curve, really fast at the start and more slow after, that impart that lovely snare sound without squash it, behaviour that i've founded only in another compressor, the yakuzi 2020 compressor included with Nebula3free, for me a really really really really awesome "analog like" compressor...in fact i don't understand why nobody talk about the two compressors included in Nebula3free...absolutely fantastic for me...
returning to this Antress compressor,i've noticed also that the release time has to be setted very different from those i commonly use with other compressor, like 1200ms to avoid pumping!! Antress, why this??

I'm speaking of on the mixbuss and it all depends on where to mix knob is set and since I will probably never have it in the exact same on every song or cranked to 100%. I guess I was going after transparent compression and was able to pull it of because of the compression settings I chose. But yeah I could see your point if I was pushing it.
