What that means is that if you press the hat all the way down it is at 127 and as soon as you lift it up a little bit (126-0) it is triggering the open note. Either way our script handles it, you'd just miss out on some real time envelope control of the closed if you don't have a border setting but this is subtle.
Since I have the old TD-10 brain, and I am pretty sure that there is no "border" setting in that model, I am not sure if any of these scripting changes actually affect me or not. The beta seems to sound more expressive, but I might have just been talking myself into believing that.
