Yeah, except for the musical results :?

I keep getting !SPAM ALERT! so let's post in smaller pieces.
I uploaded a revised txt description that includes a ReaEQ I'd forgotten from the first. So, Tattie, could you delete the older one please? :) Maybe also rename the mp3 by removing the " - (OSC13)".. less clutter.

Then, I was going to upload the Reaper project file in true open source fashion, but not sure if it's a good idea before the deadline.

OMG 19 min :o

And how will I ever be able to choose whom to vote with everyone insisting on being this good?

And K-Bee - how the * did you make that snare.. sounds surprisingly realistic.

Phew, finally my opus is ready, just need to listen to it with fresh ears. If I'm proud with my lousy tune then I can only imagine what greatness will be made by the residents :o Don't want to listen now, better wait for the whole pack, as my Opera gives me a hard time downloading from 4shared.
Still a couple of days to think up more or less meaningful title :)
Gawd I need some sleep :phew:

Kaiyoti's presets I guess. If we have such wonderful sounds there is no need to invent :D Haven't listened myself as I don't want to spoil my sleep

I'm really curious - there's a fair bit of musical talent, technique and knowledge displayed there, to put it mildly, so where did you learn all of that?
Many thanks for nice and encouraging words. :D
But where have I learned stuff? - Hmm, by listening... and mimicking others I guess. Probably influenced by the awesome Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. I wanted to learn the theme song but couldn't find good enough complete score or midi, so I decided to take the time to do it myself. :D A hell of a job since I had no experience arranging that kind of music - saxes, brass etc. I even had to resort to reading spectrograms to find out some of the chords. For anyone interested: edit: http://ihme.org/~orbik/tank/

Thanks Orbik, too kind :) I still prefer not to listen to anybody else's entries, I don't won't to get desperate before the right time to cry comes ;)

I listened to excerpts from your website, and it's nothing to cry about. You might even consider making a 320 mbit mp3 ala-carte section, each song with an excerpt, and sell the individual parts of the free CDs, there is enough variety for something click
with cross section of listeners. Of course the secondary challenge is getting people to the site itself, but its very functional. 'Comet Fish' is a great CD title, I'll have to put it on the gift list! :)

Woah! lots goin on here ... cant keep up!!!

Cheers for the submission Mac! :) .... As most will know, i also dont listen to tracks before the voting thread is posted, so Mac, I knowing your stuff, I trust the quality will match the quantity! :hihi:

I'm sooo nearly finished my track ... no promises, but I think it'll be posted tomorrow once I've had the opportunity to mix with speakers ... like when the neighbours are off out to work :)

Great hearing the comments though, really looking forward to hearing all the tracks ... do we have another classic collection???

I'm going to upload my music on Monday or Tuesday. Still need to improve the bongo sequencing a bit and decide on best equalisation and balancing of the tracks.

Thanks, I really appreciate it :) I still think Vivaldi would have quite a few laughs at my stuff if he could hear it ;)

Thank you for the idea :) I still believe in albums, though, so separating the tracks would kill me :( However, maybe that could be done for some singles - hmm, I really have to think about it.
I think I would do it for free, though, that's the direction I've taken for now. Selling CDrs on your own doesn't work anymore, it worked up to five or six years ago, but now anybody can have so much music - legally or illegally - that trying to sell through your own website results in no sales at all. So I just let SynGate sell the albums of mine it's optioned and those by BIOnighT while I just set my music free to go around the world with no restrictions. Considering I've always used free stuff to make it, it's probably the cosmically fair thing to do for a while anyway :)

That's going to be re-mixed and remastered as soon as I can find the time, it really sounds bad... I'm actually in the process of re-mixing and remastering several of my early albums, and The Comet Fish is next on the list (as soon as I finish working on A Deceitful Mind). That album is also very meaningful to me, as it draws a line in my life. It is, in fact, the last album I recorded while a friend of mine, who also happened to be my brother-in-law - a very important person to me - was still alive. It's the last one he could listen to. After that album, things were different in my life. Also, he was involuntarily part of the inspiration for it (he was the one who took me to see "Big Fish", the beautiful movie that gave me the right mood for the album). So I want it to sound decently, hope I'll be able to start working on it soon. When it's ready, it'll be up for free download.

I hope so, but I can't guarantee, sir ;-) Is a special prize for quantity going to be assigned, perhaps? :P

Neighbors should be eliminated from the face of the earth. Useless scum. Somebody must do something about it. Abstractcats, go and kill'em all.

Bongo? :o This one I wanna hear :)

OK, I've just listened to the 12 comps posted. Woof. Where is the kiddie pool, the bunny slope, the short bus, whatever you want to call it for us folks just getting started with VSTi and synth programming? Absolutely killer music, but quite a leap from the tutorials posted here to this OSC13 stuff. Entering one of these OSC monthlies is a worthy goal to shoot for, but really, I haven't found the tutorials here to be all that in-depth - am I just missing something? (Wouldn't be the first time.) Is there a place for noobs to play without completely humiliating ourselves, and wasting you folks time with idiotic questions? (Sorta like this one?)

If location is not a big deal, offer to sell them an easement, you could buy a lot of cool gear if the location is more important to them more than it is to you. 8)
Real estate attorneys are important for that.
