I definitely encourage anyone with a DTXtreme III (or other non Roland brain) to change your brain to these settings (thanks Peter for the original suggestion.) Very cool stuff.Squids wrote:For e-Drummers who want to map to the V-Drum Hi hat:

Inside Closed F#1 (42)

Edge Closed A#-1 (22)
Edge Medium to Open D0 (26)
Foot G#1 (44)
Midi CC4 - Not only controls the Inside and Edge Medium Open to Full Open but it also controls subtle changes in the Decay/Release of each of the above articulations to get a smooth range (as smooth as your midi controller pedal can send)

Real fun begins at 200 so, when everybody got their monthly check during the next days, I want everyone logging in at esounz ASAP.
You can consider this an order.

I think the hardest part is getting to 200. Everyone sits on the sidelines and waits. Squids can't say this, but I can:standalone wrote:Real fun begins at 200 so, when everybody got their monthly check during the next days, I want everyone logging in at esounz ASAP.

I am positive that this will go way over 200. It's just too good a deal!

I have a DTXpress II and can only set a closed and open note afaik but it does x-mit cc4.. are you actually setting these individual notes in your xtreme or is there a certain "cc4 behaviour" setting I can check that I might also have?gmon72 wrote: I definitely encourage anyone with a DTXtreme III (or other non Roland brain) to change your brain to these settings (thanks Peter for the original suggestion.) Thanks
edit: Actually I also have an Alesis DM5 if this would be better for hat control. Any comments appreciated

You can just set it in your module according to the notes I provided above. Just pick the closed inside and the medium to open notes (if it doesn't trigger edge then it just won't trigger it). But the CC4 sends that it sends and that should do the real time control between the closed medium and open with the in between interpolation with release envelopes. In other words... try it out!Chester Desmond wrote:I have a DTXpress II and can only set a closed and open note afaik but it does x-mit cc4.. are you actually setting these individual notes in your xtreme or is there a certain "cc4 behaviour" setting I can check that I might also have?gmon72 wrote: I definitely encourage anyone with a DTXtreme III (or other non Roland brain) to change your brain to these settings (thanks Peter for the original suggestion.) Anyway, I agree this IS a great deal (and it is only going to get better as you know) but for those sitting on the fence... remember it is a chicken or egg situation. If you join now even though you enter your credit card it isn't charged until we reach $99 or reach the end which is over a month away. You can also opt out at any time before it is charged and before the sounds are delivered. So you can't lose but you can all affect the numbers to make it happen earlier. I don't think we're going to extend this beyond so the sooner it gets to 200 the sooner we can try for 300 and get extras on top... and those extras can add up! Maybe we'll throw in some Multitracks... who knows? But, first we DO have to get those numbers moving. We started off great then it slowed down a bit here and... well, it is all up to you. If acoustic drums with diversity like this is for you then this is a great deal not to miss!

I am pretty sure in the DTX III there is a hihat ctrl - on/off setting. BTW, recent events lead me to believe that many people missed this:
Squids wrote: By the way, if you want SSD then that $20 is good but we've got something even better for those that REALLY collect. Today we're going to be offering SSD EX plus an expansion of your choice for only $49.95 (That's basically $20 PLUS half off on the expansion). On top of that we're going to have ALL of the SSD expansions exclusively for half-price ($30 each) at www.esoundz.com However, that price is ONLY for people that either join this group buy OR have purchased the Ultimate Studio Bundle 1... which you can still do! Otherwise we will still have a general good deal on SSD (also Platinum) but it will be a little higher than that is all. Not bad! We've got connections... Anyway, if you are a collector of great drum "favors" and you want to expand it all in Kontakt then we've got you covered!

Yes, and I think we're going to reward the wise with something. The first 200 people to join will get a free additional Multitrack kit from the Drum Masters serie. Good luck! There are only 120 "slots" left for that one.standalone wrote:80 wise people already joined:
Thisisnotarickatsleyvideoitisalinktothisincrediblegroupbuy.
On top of that the first 200 will be entered into a drawing and FIVE lucky winners will get SWAG from the sessions such as Danny Gottlieb's drum sticks or a signed Drum Head by one of the Drum Masters or EpiK Drummers.

We really love the GBs, unfortunately bank managers and al don't seem to share the same enthusiasm.I'm sure at the end of Feb there will be a jump in numbers. The last GB started at the end of the month so people were sure of their money ins and outs. Mid month, people are not quite so sure especially if they are paid monthly. Also if you've got bills to pay at start of the month, with Feb being a short month anyway, it's just a question of timing. To be honest the longer it takes to get to the lowest price the better for me
