The trick is to save it as a preset (at this point, host still thinks it's the old patch, you can compare host vs synth1 patch), then load anything else, then load the new patch.

And My track is....

AlphaSynthExpress_AbstractCats

Host-
FL 9

Synth1-
11 Instances

FX-
MDA-Dynamics 1 Instace
MDA-Stereo 1 Instance

Smartelectronics- Abience 1 Instance

KarmaFX- reverb 1 Instance
karmaFX- Eq 1 instance

I had a lot of fun and got some ideas for other music and learned some good things about sound design from this synth.

I'll be listening to all the tracks some time over the next two days.

See you kids on the voting thread, 8)

Anubis seems really cool. It didn't look so impressive first. But when I tested the presets I was surprised to found some really good sounds.

OMG 45 instances!
Man, I shouldn't started composing mine knowing that you'll take part in this OSC
Anyway it's too late and the tune is almost ready, so bear with my crappy mixing again :D
While you're here, did you finish your "Bionic commando" track with Synth1? I'd like to hear it in full glory

abstractcats, kaiyoti .... cheers for the submissions! :) ... and good luck in the comp!

Anyone have any news re. MaxSynths? I gather he's had some probs with his PC, or server?

Thanks, Tattiemannie, can you delete the original one? the one without a (2) in front. I had the wrong version uploaded.

OK, will do! :)

Post

Ok, kaiyoti, done.

Trouble is that it will all of a sudden skip one preset down for some reason. I am now using vstpresets which seems to have cured that particular problem, but still settings occasionally get lost unless presets saved even with that.

I also have an issue that the track forgets which synth instance it has..

And here was I looking forward to plain sailing with Synth1..

But the brilliant super clean and sheer range of sounds can't be faulted. I almost wish all OSCs was with this as there are so many things to be made with it. :tu:

Are you sure this is the right version? I mean first one was clipping but now it's even more! I'd ease on the dynamic compression too but I guess it's a matter of taste. Otherwise sounds interesting. :)

Btw, are we going to have the same voting method as in osc12? In that thread looked like several people would've distributed their points differently if allowed. What if every voter could give some total number of points in any distribution they like, just restricting the maximum to a single recipient. Sort of like here: http://muusikoiden.net/keskustelu/posts ... 8&t=188106 (a guitar solo contest in a Finnish musicians' forum)
Could be 10 points total - max 4, so you could give 4-3-2-1, 4-2-2-1-1, 3-3-2-1-1 etc.

orbik, this is definitely +1 :tu:

An interesting idea. I was already thinking that it might be very hard to separate my top two favourites (so far!) - and it's perhaps not always proportionate to award one track twice as many points as the next favourite?

Post

Orbik, I proposed exactly that system some months back ... when we first discussed a multivote system, but it didn't get a lot of support, also, its easier for me to keep a tally if we have the fixed denominations :)

At the end of the day, we can change all we like, and folks like myself will still wish they could vote 10, 10, 10, 10, 9, 9, 9, 9, ..etc. :hihi:
