Hiya Mac,

I don't know Mr. MCGee, the one I found via search is a guy in Gainsville, FL.
It says he does tape recorder music? Sound like a very Eno idea, Nice! I'll have to check it out.

As for me site, yeah, its a work in progress, I still have a lot to learn, Currently learning Flash.

I'll have a long "links" page list I hope as well. Of course, I'll any site of people I know as well as my favs'

Post

Yeah, right, Gainsville, not Louisville, sorry
Hal does a lot of weird and interesting things, some are pretty challenging for the listener, but in general they are worth some effort.

Flash? Wow, that's difficult... I decided to stuck with HTML for as long as I can, I don't think I'd have the mental flexibility it takes to learn something like that :(

I'm curious to see your visual art as well :)

Actually, there are some great template based Flash programs that are very easy to use, but inserting the code can be tricky, but not drastically hard. There are some free online web design and flash classes if you search the web.

As for the graphics, I'm working on a fractal design for the back ground image for my site.

Thanks for the interest as well :)

OK, since its not so 'hush hush' anymore, here's the link to the film I'm doin the soundtrack for ..http://www.tenementghost.co.uk/

Wow, looks intriguing :) Too bad the video still has temporary music and not yours :? Is it going to be a feature length film or a short one?
Let us know when they update the site with your music :)

I love the look of the Movie poster/add. Looks vintage! Nice.

I was looking at your bands "instrument" list, Umm you left out vacuum cleaner :hihi: I guess I'll have to convert my old Swell Maps tapes :D

Post

Yeah, we missed out a couple of other 'instruments', vacuum cleaner not being one, but if you like Swell Maps, you need to go to Topplers Records ... the only label I trust with my material .. other than myself! ... topplers worked with old Swell Mappers and old Swell Maps material over the past few years, as well as loads of other 'edge of the scene' guys ... and have a unique collection of 'where they are now' artists ...! ( and its not a bad place at all! ) :)

If you dont find what you're looking for at www.topplers.net then gimme a PM and I'll put you in the right direction! :)

Exciting stuff! I spose the use of 'Monstrous' vsti is inevitable in the production here?

:D  And Gargoyle, too

Hmm, should've realized earlier that my entry had quite crappy mastering - lacking in highs. So I uploaded a better version just in case someone didn't get the first one yet. Well, also made the bass sound have a little better attack but nothing radical. :)

kaiyoti wrote:Heh, I know this |----| much about mastering. I believe it's currently soft clipped. Which I can generally live with since I don't know what to do beyond this. The latest version has the extra bass at the end.
Just reducing the pre-fx master volume a bit until the output doesn't clip would do it.

That snare sounds pretty cool to my ears. :o Is that also a kaiyoti's preset?

I actually used some of his presets as a starting point (this guy is a genius, no doubt)
But this snare, I think I strated from scratch (I'll have to check, though...)
