I'm really bad a playing guitar but I try...

three-fold origami

I may have posted this elsewhere a while back but I'm pretty sure it's new to you.

It's just ebow'd guitar through a pair of loopers and an amp. You can hear my wife and her friends in the background, that was a happy accident.

Post

ebow, eh? it's very soothing.
for the savage beast, and all.
..what goes around comes around..

Yeah, such a simple but awesome toy. It's very expressive once you get the hang of it. I have a tough time with finesse though.

Thanks for listening. :)

Love it. I need to stop listening to your stuff, because it always convinces me I need to buy stuff I don't need (although I've been wanting an Ebow for years)... Hell, there was a two-week period where I was convinced I needed to buy a Mac just for Numerology.

That being said, seeing "3am" and "guitar" in the title made it an instant-click.

Post

quite spooky alright, really like the droning feedbacky thing

Dude, that's how it happened to me!!! Now just imagine that you work in an environment where you are the only person without a huge TDM system and the asshole in the next cube just bought his fifth minimoog! :x It's an odd and wonderful hell.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I listened to your IDM piece, now I'm on to the rock one. :tu:

That was really nice, perfect breakfast for my sleepy ears :)

Really dug this Justin... especially the dreaminess of the first half before you started snapping those rubber bands and shaking me out the nice little trance I was in. ;) :)

yeah you really do suck at that. No problem, sucking can be beautiful.

You're brilliant and original away from instruments. In fact I'd say a kind of very special (in the good way!) genius.

Guitar is hard.

Thanks.

Guitar is hard, which just makes me want to do it even more. Funny how that works.

It's the most laudable impulse in the world.

eBow is a good move, you can get away with murder, there's no attack, just slide it on in there.

Post

reaches places most guitarists only dream of, dare i ask for "more" :band:

beautiful. What makes it different than being a synth thing for me is the finger-on-string noises, very organic. Actually, I say beautiful, I'm less than half way through, and I read it gets noisy soon. First bit beautiful, second bit tba.
