It's just everyone keeps talking about this Drumpad and how you need FL to make it work etc.
No! It works in my Cubase...nobody else answered you, so I did

You don't need FL...
Wrong. For Drumpad you need FL. For Drumaxx you don't as it's a VSTi and can run in any DAW, which supports VST.

Here's the original statement:

Do I have to re-install Beta-4, and save Drumpad, or was it left out accidentally... :help:
It's included as a FL Generator, but not a vst. There's really little purpose to having it as a VST, as it is meant to be used with the FLStudio step-sequencer.

I thought he was saying 'Do you need FL to run Drumaxx?', which you don't...

Post

Well, he wrote "Drumpad", so...

Now in lateral terms 'this' (in this case) could mean Drumaxx or Drumpad, so only he knows what 'this' was refering too and we can only speculate.

Post

Huh? No speculation at all. He clearly talks about DRUMPAD. You gotta read the full post

Again this can be read 2 different ways because 'this' doesn't refer directly to either Drumpad nor Drumaxx,

He then goes on to say 'It's just everyone keeps talking about this Drumpad and how you need FL to make it work etc.'

So he 'may' be thinking it's an FL plugin only because everyone keeps saying you need FL to use drumpad. So I thought he may be getting confused about the whole plugin, thinking it's FL only...

Now we can carry on in circles, but the meaning of 'this' can be interpreted 2 different ways in his first sentence.

So I may not be WRONG, then on the other hand I may be WRONG!

and vice versa

There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers.

Whatever  It really doesn't matter as we clarified that DRUMAXX can be run in any DAW, but DRUMPAD only in FL. Geeez...

Post

He was asking whether drummax needs FL.
To Thine Own Plugins Be True

It's very possible you installed both downloads from their site.
Only install the Drumaxx package and install. Do not install the one below it that says, "extra content".
Trash all the Drumaxx files on your mac and install only the Drumaxx package and it will work.
If not, then you have not put your reg code, in your preferences folder.
ie:user name/Library/Preferences/ImageLine

I had the same problem and it worked on my mac, after doing this.

updating properties of AU Drumaxx by Image-Line...done.
Same here in Logic 9.1/OS 10.6.2

I bought my registration! :)

I noticed the minimum amount is 13 USD. No matter... I paid at least twice that, lol.

Only I wish our friends who use the Macs could have even more to cheer about. Heh heh, pardon my ignorance because I don't have a Mac. I said a few months ago I would buy one, but it's too expensive. Hmmm. So it's still Windoze for me.

Now it's time for me to go looking for the big, bad beat! :P

Post

Fails AU val in Logic here too. 9.02 and 10.6.2

Really a shame that the step sequencer doesn't start on host start, or at least have the option to.

In Live8 the MIDI seems a bit 'weird' here.

For instance, a pattern that's set to trigger on C3 will only trigger on C5 and no matter what I set separate pads to trigger from they wont trigger.
